Elizabeth Fraser is the greatest British indie singer of all time and the most beautifully expressive British female vocalist this side of Kate Bush, in fact she's in a tiny peer group with Bush and Bjork. She has chosen now, at this darkest of hours to return to grace us with her totally undimmed golden voice. With her partner Damon Reece, they've sculpted a small album of infinite beauty and star spun wonder. Like Galadriel returned from the West to save us. And it really makes you talk that wanky.

Great to hear someone enthuse about my favourite vocalist and band the CTs. Disappointed that the EP vinyl was only available for record store day but I guess that’s all part of the ongoing mystique. The magic of artists who do their own thing and in their own way and in their own time. Also loved her recent duet with Sam Lee. Many years ago the Victoria and Albert museum here in London created a sound exhibition where they commissioned about 10 musicians to create music each based on a different gallery. You followed a map and wore headphones that activated the music wherever you entered the particular gallery. Such a great idea! She did a piece for the Raphael cartoons gallery which are a series of huge tapestries and of course the music was beyond beautiful 🤩

SURELY they will redo the vinyl at some point? i know its really difficult to press vinyl these days and there is a huge backlog apparently

Fan from the very start hearing them on John Peel in my bedroom. Unique voice and style. They have always been true to their art with sincerity and integrity and clearly make music for the love and belief in what they do and not to make money. Very rare in music today. Thanks for the review. The other guy you may be thinking of is Simon Raymond.

i kind of treat this as a full album though i wouldnt think it would be their only release. The tracks date back almost a decade for this, so im not holding my breath though

@@thebrownnotereview8473 well I’m quite thankful that it appeared it’s almost a dream come true, like when electribe 101 had a second album and now everything but the girl’s is due. Now imagine if Kate bush brought out aerial part 2!!?
