Not dissimilar to my 1970 science fair project, "LSD: Light Seeking Device". It is (still have it!) a little wooden cart that will home in on a light source.

I feel that Somehow the current that the panel produces should be taken into account for determining the direction the panel faces. The light sensors should help the panel face the “sun” but an ammeter could help keeping the panel pointed for optimal capture

Mine only works with flashlight. placed in window no reaction to follow the sun from morning till evening.

@patty1991, the fake solar cell cannot power the motor so a cell is required to run the motor. Moreover, if the Sun comes so close to the Earth, rather to say the solar cell assembly, the sensor shall be always confused to rum away from SUN. Happy Eureka to the inventor of the circuit less project.

Just proof of concept, as simple as it is it could even be used in a DIY solar power project. The true beauty of something like this is to demonstrate practical uses and application of a few components. If you seek to understand how things work, the real world uses are many, when combined with the knowledge gained in other videos, the uses are endless. Its great to benefit from other peoples experiment, but once you go beyond that, and build things you will expand your knowledge. I have learned many things successfully copying the projects of others, I have learned even more when I failed, and had to figure out why.
