I have never seen someone make sha sha so uncomfortable. Those wide heavy pushes were just brutal. And when she got a block on the open-up the backspin off the pips was evil.

It's not that Ayhika is any special. Just that Sun is unfamiliar with Ayhika playing style. Let's see how far with Ayhika will get in the tournament. Like all those who managed to beat Fan once, are no way to be seen. If Ayhika beats Sun again, then I will say, Ayhika knows how to handle Sun.

It’s very different strategy I must say. In conventional game I have not seen anyone who beat Chinese players. At least here they have some chance by playing different that others.

I an enjoying this defensive mindset chinese have adopted, surprisingly in their own game. Legal equipment, legal win Period. You do that to India in cricket with any legal equipment and we will accept, only question is .. if you can, even once in next 2 decades. If you do that, the game will win. Like how TT won in this game. Ayhika is bringing India to the TT table.

Enjoy sports for the good players not for competition for which country is the best. I have always observed this, Indians don't care about the actual sports. They just want to watch when an Indian is playing and they forget about the sport after. Like they won't even watch finals if an Indian loses in the Semi-final. We have actually attached our self worth with sports.

@@amitbaliyan5731Lol...One swallow doesnot make a summer. A few losses doesnot mean China lost everything.. China has managed to beat you down... And In Badminton,It's was China's B and C team vs India's A Team. So, when China lost to you in Badminton first round diesnot mean it may lose again.. But it lost to Japan in the knock outs and therefore only the Men's Team made it to the semis and then the finale and even won the Finale.. congratulations for your win.. But We have a target of 50 plus Gold Medals this year in Badminton Tournaments.... Last year we broke our own record with 47 Gold Medals... And this year, 50 plus is incoming....

Sun’s fast spinny equipment is well known to every opponent. Trash rubber is something that is completely new to everyone except the player who’s using it and gives that player tremendous advantage. That’s the difference.

To add, I am sure after this lost, Sisha and his team will review her game, set up a strategy and practice a lot with player with similar styles until she feels comfortable with it. The future match with the same Indian girl will likely have different outcomes. That's what a true athlete does.

Anti-spin rubbers don’t help table tennis become more popular. Advanced or serious amateur players do understand why Sun is struggling but ordinary people do not at all.

You couldten be more wrong. Here the balls goes into some duels, normal rubber games is just serve and return and finished. Having said so, normal people that are not into or around the sport, don’t understand it anyway. They have no clue about spin and the difficulty in the game

Anti spin rubber has it's pros and con, it is not easy to use anti spin rubber. Then everyone would have used this rubber and beat Chinese players. Can't you guys just appreciate her amazing victory, and yes she did not beat Chinese for the first time. 😊

Just like they wouldn’t allow a player to bring their own magical table to the tournament that only that player has practiced with - magical anti spin rubbers shouldn’t be allowed. This is a complete joke, it’s not possible to get used to a completely new way the ball behaves in a single best of 5 when your opponent has been practicing against the rubber you are using their entire life. Complete joke and a mockery of the game.

@@pankajnjoshi9673that's not how it works. Trash rubbers have enormous range when it comes to how they play. While inverted rubbers are also different, it only takes a pro player a couple of rallies to get used to it due to the fact that they are much closer in qualities to each other, and also one gets much more exposure to them. Trash rubber gives unfair advantage, there's just no way around it
