For people making comments about the difficulty discrepancy, I'm doing streams of KHFM PS4 on proud mode now, so stop by on occasion and watch me change my mind about bosses in real time.

The hardest boss in the entire series is that Race with Riku on destiny Islands.

Since you're only counting content from the original version of the game, then I'd say the un-skippable cutscenes are the hardest boss, easily.

The worst part about Phantom is when you're color blind

When I was younger I never used magic and only used the “cool keyblades” as I was a warrior. Also never upgraded Donald and goofy and never used items or blocked as I only thought X was the only good face button. Gosh I made that game so hard for myself lol.

deflecting projectiles is something I never did, my strategy was press X and heal

Honestly I felt the invisible Chameleon to be a lot harder than most bosses when I was younger. The fact that you don't have cure really increases the difficulty of that boss fight.

The hardest boss for me was figuring out how to leave Neverland after closing the keyhole. I didn't have a problem with possessed Riku, but that was probably because I did all the sidequests and collectibles before going to what I thought was the final dungeon.

I wasn't sure if I was going to like this at first. 5 minutes in and I've nearly pissed myself laughing. I am definitely subscribing.

I think a lot of it just depends on what level you're on. I spent hours on Clayton, first Ursula, and the black demon guy in the volcano yet beat ansem's fights first try

For the Lock, Shock and Barrel boss fight in Halloweentown, I’m fairly sure that you can only get the highest amount of EXP for the fight if you beat Lock first, then Shock, then lastly Barrel. Otherwise, their EXP is reduced by 10%. Just a little heads up for folks in case you care about EXP.

Destiny islands riku should be on first place, as the hardest boss XD

The real boss fight is that room that leads to the last final bosses. OOOOF

Personally I always found Clayton to be one of the harder bosses. 'Most anything after the first few worlds is easy because you're leveled and equipped.

I had a really tough time against Riku because when I played this game when I was 8, I had no concept of Guard. Now he's a fucking joke even on proud, but I will admit, I was stupid as a kid.

The first Cerberus fight is hell if you gave up the shield and came by any time before Deep Jungle.

Me watching, 6 hours into KH 1.5: "... wait you can deflect?"

I never realized it as a kid, but Ansem with his heartless seems like a huge Jo Jo reference.

Oogie manner is easier than Giant Ursala in my opinion. Those bites and lightning spams were annoying.

Kirk Ziza was the most frustrating. I tried some of everything in my arsenal, even summoning Tinker Bell. Finally after maybe 25 attempts, I said, I hope I will never have to fight him again. I was actually hoping that he would return in the sequel. His character design and fighting style was the most appealing up to date!

In the old PS2 version, if you took out Clayton first, he somehow was able to revive himself if you took awhile to beat the Stealth. Idk if that happened to anyone else besides me

Idk if it was changed in FM, but in vanilla KH1, the Behemoth is vulnerable to gravity, making it laughably easy to drop him to green HP by spamming it then move in to finish him. And I can confirm lock-on remains on that jaguar in vanilla. At least it did on mine.

When I first played Kingdom Hearts 1, I found a way to cheat on the Cerberus fight. When his stands still and tries to bite you, you can go jump up his back leg who is a position that you can jump up to and then from there jump up on his back. You can stay there and just use magical attacks until he dies, he can't attack you when you are there. Just sit back and wait til your MP is up again to attack him. It works so well that I once as a kid that I was AFK for 20 minutes and he had not hurt me a single bit. So getting on his back really makes all his attack worthless

I'm so happy you put him at the end because when I was a kid I never beat him. It's been about a good 8 years since I've played kingdom hearts and your commentary on every person cracked me up. To this day I still have nightmares about that Riku fight. I was stuck there, at about 9 years old, for like 3 months. I dont know I just could not beat it, I had to sit through that damn unskippable cutscene over and over and over. I was going insane. “Kairi… Karis inside me” OH MY GOD SORA SHUT THE HELL UP AND FIGHT! It also didn’t help that at the time I had absolutely no clue you could switch out Keyblades, so for 3 months I was using nothing but the Kingdom Key to fight him. Funnily enough I found out Keyblades could be switched out because he had once again beat me and I got so frustrated I started mashing all the buttons on my controller and I somehow managed to get to the Keyblade selection screen. Changed my entire world. And that… THAT was how I finally beat him lmfao. The Keyblade I used was the Oblivion and to this day, the Oblivion is my all time favorite key cuz it helped me beat that bastard after 3 months. When I finally beat it my Mom rushed in my room with immediate concern because I was screaming like an overjoyed mad man.

The thing about the Defenders that Maleficent summons is that they actually wound up screwing her in that I kept smacking their shields with repetitive retaliating slashes while the bitch was well within the hit box. I think I chewed through about 3 bars of health in 5 seconds.

Finally! This video popped up on my recommended forever ago, and I laughed my ass off from start to finish. But for some reason I didn't like the video or save it to one of my playlists. Then I was fighting giant Ursula last night and I remember this video. Been trying to find it by searching for things like "ursula boss roast" and other such things.

I Never knew you could free Donald and goofy when fighting the card solders

I found Phantom to be pretty easy, just really tedious. Take Goofy and Pan as your partners. Take off every single one of their abilities that use MP, except for Goofy's MP Gift. Give the two Ethers, while saving Elixirs for yourself. To dodge his homing attack, just fly around the corner of the clock tower before he fires it, and the bullet should crash into the tower. I usually map Firaga, Blizzaga and Stopra for quick use. I use Stopra every two homing attacks from Phantom. Not sure how the MP Gift strategy would work in the Final Mix,1.5, but it did work for me in the original. I want to say that thanks to this strategy you won't have a bad time with him anymore, but Phantom's pretty boring regardless of how efficient you are at taking him down. Hope this will ease the pain at least a bit the next time you take him on. A lot of those bosses are much worse on Proud. Things like Giant Ursula and Clayton would be much higher on the list if that was taken into the consideration. I agree that Cerberus is tough, regardless of the difficulty. Overall, a pretty cool video, even though I didn't agree a lot with it, too much Proud Mode playthoughs to take your "it does no damage" comments seriously. I'll sub just to know when a vid for KH2 comes out.

I remember the 1st time I fought Ursula (the smaller version with the eels) and I was too dumb to figure out the cauldron in the middle, so I spent 2 hrs taking her health little by little, since then, I dread going to that world, even though I now know what to do
