Only thing I'd say is their money's already in that lot. Buying another lot will just be another purchase, and they're working with what they've got already. Granted, Jimmy could probably get some money off the lot, but moving locations and selling that one wouldn't help much for their three month opening plan in the grand scheme of things. I here what you're saying though about the fragility of that lot, but there's a history there too.

i agree with you. everyones saying he had a crush on her and theyre family friends but to me its still weird. bc even if they talked now and again at get togethers or in school they clearly weren't actual *close* friends. from what it seems like to me, they were comfortable acquaintances/good family friends just bc of proximity. And that to me, is not a strong enough relationship to warrant chasing someone down to confront why they didn't give you their real number. and i'm girl and i agree w roshi that if it was a guy it'd be weird just like how it's little weird for claire to do that now too.

Yeah, I am more inclined to dismiss a person’s opinion when they make blanket statements. It’s not true that “all” pizza places in NYC are great and “all” Chicago pizza places are terrible. You have to spit out facts. Did he eat at an airport, renowned restaurant, or a Pizza Hut? Did he eat when he was hungry or while he was having a bad day? Does he like certain types of pizzas? Context matters.

I love both Chicago and new york style pizzas. But also remember that I'm referring to our versions of thin crust. Deep dish is more of a tasty ON OCCASION, luxury. Something I get maybe a handful of times a year. It resembles a big pizza pie more than anything else 🤷

Roshi is right, it was weird for Claire to not accept a very clear boundary that was given to her. We all would want to know why, but being willing to deliberately cross those boundaries is likely exactly why they put them there. They can't trust that you won't challenge and exhaust them, and ultimately respect their decisions. Claire immediately asked Carmy for personal labor after ignoring his wishes, and you could see how he was unable to refuse her. He was exhausted, and let down someone he actually wanted to construct something new with. Listen to how he talks about how the things he used to like got warped. That's the history you were looking for.

The thing is.. That is NOT a clear boundary at all. A clear boundary can only be a cleair and direct statement, like "this is my number, but give me some time because i'm quite busy right now" and then go from there. To think that we are putting clear boundaries by doing actions or saying words with double meaning for the other person to decipher instead of clearly stating what we want is a very bad way to comunicate.

Big facts. Carmy really irritated me this episode. It's - his- restaurant. No she's technically not a partner per se but she was there for the second loan pitch to Cicero. He trusts her enough to make her CDC. - He- said we need to go out and get inspired because their palates were fucked. Then he completely ghosted her. I understand he deserves some joy in his life too. But, his words, you need to care about this restaurant more than anything. And that includes Claire.

Best sandwich I ever ate was turkey that had been slow cooked in brown gravy, served hot with hot stuffing that had the consistency of a thick spread, plus cranberry sauce on thick granary bread. Absolutely incredible, and it came wrapped in foil. So I feel what you're saying.

6:40 i'm team Sheera in this one, i don't think it was weird. It was streight forward, and she is someone from his past AND she is romantically interested in him so yeah. Roshi is acting like being streight forward is bad and she should have read his mind when in fact one of the issues that the tv show touches is the avoidance and lack of clarity in relationships through Carmy due to his traumatic experiences.

Saying this as someone who was raised in New York most of my life. I like both NY and Chicago pizza. They are both different and not really to be compared. NY pizza is great for get togethers or a quick bite to eat on the go, while Chicago pizza is more like a sit down dinner meal.
