What I would have to say is be careful because the recovery is just as important as the surgery. You want a good result from the surgery so don’t push it and do things you shouldn’t do. Oh, girl! I had a hysterectomy at age 47 (I’m now 72) and I’m impressed you even felt like watering plants four days later! It is so important that you give your body time to heal, and your soul time to adjust. Don’t overdo. Take it easy and let your family take care of you. I had a feeling it was a hysterectomy. I had one in November. We're the same age. Take my advice!! While you may feel like you want to get up and move that early on, you need need need to be resting as much as possible with little walking breaks in between. You are going to be absolutely exhausted for a good couple of months. ❤️

You do need to take it easy. I had a hysterectomy and bladder tack 3 years ago and it took a while to get back to normal. Let your body heal and recover from surgery.

I hope this finds you feeling better. I have not had a hysterectomy, but I won't be surprised when my GYN suggests it given the state of my reproductive organs. Abdominal surgeries, of any kind, are no joke my girl, so you take 'er easy, okay? Your house is beautiful, your garden is lovely, and your hubs and children are super helpful and capable, so lean on them!

Thanks for the video, being a ER RN of over 30 years, 4 days post op surgery isn't wise to be out bending over , usually takes 6-8 weeks after surgery. to fully heal. Rest and follow your doctors instructions.

Tiffany you look great. I have never had a hysterectomy, which I have been fortunate at 65. Just take it all very slow and easy. You got to give your body time to heal and recover. Your yard, porch, flowers looks amazing. Just so beautiful. So Dr Halliday says sit on your porch and rest and enjoy your down time.

Recovery from surgery is like a double edged sword isn’t it…do too much and you pay for it after but do too little and your mental health suffers. Just take it one day at a time and do what you feel comfortable but listen carefully to what your body is saying. My advice would be to make sure you don’t skip pain relief even if you feel ok. I felt like I didn’t need it so skipped a couple of doses and then bam…massive pain that took ages to get under control. Rest up and enjoy your recovery. A good book and the hammock sounds ideal! X

I’ve been recovering from spine surgery for the past month and yes mental health struggles are real after surgery. Take it easy and let things slide for a while and let your family take care of you. Sunshine always helps. I’ve spent a lot of my time outside in a lawn chair soaking up the sun and listening and watching the birds. Helps me mentally for sure. Love your videos and your home. Hi Tiffany, I completely understand how you are feeling. Make sure you are giving yourself plenty of time to heal. I had a hysterectomy in 2016. I was feeling better after a couple of weeks and pushed myself to do more than I should have. It set me back a bit. You take care of yourself. ♡

I'll be honest, I had the same surgery and you start feeling better on the outside, however, as the doctor told me, your insides are a WRECK and need to heal. Don't overdo it! But glad all went well!

Use dental floss to tie your roses to your trellis. Since floss is clear it won't show. And it is more durable than you think. You can wrap around rose stem as many times as you like and it won't show. ❤

This September will make 3 yrs since I had a complete hysterectomy and I felt great afterwards BUT I over done it and now I'm having a lot of issues were the Bladder has fell so PLEASE take my advice don't left anything over 5 pds believe me you will Thank me later..... God bless y'all ❤

The more I look at your island, the more I think maybe you should try a dark color. Dark green, or a faux dark wood tone with Retique it products. Yes, surgery recovery is no joke, we are never fully prepared, but rest is best.

Hi Tiffany, so nice to see you up and about. I had a hysterectomy 11 years ago, but was lucky to have vag/laproscopic, so only had 5 small incisions with steri-strips. I did a lot of reading over those 6 weeks and it helped to pass the time, while I rested. Be very careful about lifting. I would say it took me about 1 full year, not to get the occasional twinges anymore, that reminded me I had surgery. Just go easy on yourself while you are healing. I can't believe how full your garden has gotten so quickly!! Just beautiful. 💗💗💗

Tiffany- please take it easy, rest, and drink a lot of water. I had a partial hysterectomy about 15 years ago and it was a long recovery. The thing that bothered me the most was pain from the anesthesia! I had horrible pain in my shoulders for a long time. So weird, but not fun. I hope you are not having any of that pain and can recover fairly comfortably. ☺️🌻

I had a full hysterectomy in 2018. Be patient with your body. Rest, get up and move, then rest and so on and so on. I will say that it threw me into full blown menopause. It was rough and the synthetic estrogen made me feel worse.

Glad you’re back on your feet, but be VERY CAREFUL those days of rest after are super important! You can knock yourself down if you push ahead to quickly…learned that the hard way! I have four sons, all grown men now, and their eyes were big as plates when they realized how hard my hysterectomy hit me! I have to give them oodles of credit though because they jumped in and took over everything right along with my husband! Their wives love them at this writing because they take on those same chores as a husband and father. Please be very careful! Your yard and flowers are doing beautifully! Sit your butt on the front porch and rest momma, lol! ❤

❤🙏🏻praying for full and total recovery. And this is opportunity to do low key to extreme so that you don’t hurt yourself jumping into regular speed too quick. Glad to see you got sunshine though! We all need daily sun!! Ordering pizza easy meals like snacks and such do whatever is easiest for you and your family I know is pitching in and while we all know mommas are needed they actually will want to show you as kids they can be good helpers!!! Let them do as much as they can alone and God will take care of you and them. Obey doctors orders!! Doing so will ensure proper healing. Summer means fun and rest. Each day journal about memories you are making as a family with game nights and remember laughter is good medicine per the Bible. A cheerful heart is good medicine and you got that girl!! Years from now when kids are grown you will long for these days back, so just take it slow and use the down time to write a letter to each of your kids on what you hope for their futures and how much you love them! They can open those the day of their wedding as you send them off to their next chapter. I mean this time this down time is golden! Don’t waste it trying to rush into regular life. It will come in its time. For now enjoy the healing ❤️‍🩹 journey of rest and life contemplation❤
