@@proffessasvids I got one a month or so ago to test with, but I think I'm using the XS Branded Yinlong LTO cells for my bench. I'm kinda already invested in them along with a really phat bus bar system from Toolmaker.

@richardgordon9649- I have seen a test where 1- Xs power AGM group 31 battery (80Lbs. and $399), was as powerful as 2- group 31 lead acid deka batteries (60Lbs each x 2= 120Lbs, and cost $199 each x2= $398). And this Titan 8 S5 PWR (9Lbs. Each, and $699 or $799?) is 2x the power of the Xs power group 31 AGM battery= 80Lbs. Each x 2= 160Lbs., $399 each x 2= $798 So power cost $ any way you look at it, but 9Lbs., and compatible with regular Lead acid, and Agm 12volt batteries is Awesome!

remember if you push 10kw of power constant for a little over 2min you deplete this type of battery (saying you got the 120Whr ones) and have to cut back to let it recharge, but it should recharge pretty quick, just make sure your alternators can handle that high charge current otherwise you'll destroy your alternator

@@wow1022 Does this apply even while driving? Lol. I'm really confused on the pwr s5 vs the reserve s5. I got a d3400 and then two titan pwr s5s. I plan on running around 7k rms but I just wanna be able to drive and bump at the red lights. So my question like I said was, does tihs apply while driving? I don't wanna be parked up revving to 2k to do a burp. Did I fuck up with two pwr s5s?

IDK about this battery specifically but on their website, limitless says their 15 amp hour limitless lithium battery is the equivalent of 150 amp hours of AGM. which would prob weigh around 100 lbs while the lithium only weighs about 12 pounds. that may give you a better idea about lithium batteries

You're wasting money by not doing the big 3, that's such an integral part of the equation.

@@akuma4u I just got a bass clef 6k on avatar stu 15 and I'm on stock alt and 220 ah agm, I dip to low 12s. Should I upgrade to 300 amp alt or xs power lithium bank first. Need help. My avatar has been getting warm after a couple songs of hard play. Amp doesn't get warm at all. Played for 30mins straight and amp bearly warm if any at all

Depends on your draw, and how much power your system turns into heat

Titanium dioxide batteries are better than phosphate for temp and load stability, but either way they both get scary if you over or under charge them. Get a battery voltage display, an oscilloscope, and make sure the system is working appropriately. If it’s all good then you’re golden.

@@matts53gmc I ended selling the titan 8’s. Trash. Especially for what they cost. Thought they were great at first because they recharged so fast. They are absolute crap. Fortunately most people don’t know that and I sold them for more than I paid for them because there was a shortage during Covid. I sold them used for higher than retail price. Replaced it with 240 ah Yinlong . $600 less. 20 times better. Now I can charge at 16, clamping 26,500 watts and very rarely see under 15 volts. Zero comparison.

This I would love to see. In theory the chemistry should be much better than agm and LiPo, but they’re all fickle if they’re not taken care of properly.

@BrianErwin- That is not the correct way to determine what any battery will support. Always go by the manufactures ratings. Example: In a battery test i seen One high performance battery designed for car audio= (1) group 31 Agm (100 Ah battery) supported 5,000 watts, with an alternator( unknow amp), vs in same vehicle with same alt., needed (2) regular lead acid group 31 batteries =( 160 Ah) to support 5,000 watts, so all batteries are not equal. And yes all types of battery technology's can have different rating's. All lithiums have a C rating= power rating, and you cannot compare 1 Ah rating of 1 brand with a different C rating. Again go by the manufacturers recommendations. Hope this helps?

@@evilinside5984 yes, that's helpful. i used to run four xs power g31 batteries, but trying to cross over to lithium. may run both, as i've seen videos on youtube that say running all lithium doesn't do that well.

@@BrianErwin- Yes its very nice that these Titan 8 S5 PWR batteries can work inline with lead acid, and Agm 12volt batteries, without isolators. Also, maybe slowly add a Titan 8, when you sell 1 Xs group 31 Agm, @ a time. But i would always have @ least 1 Agm up under the hood, as Lithium batteries suck for starting in the cold!

The pwr-s5 are crazy small. I can fit two in my Silverado 1500 extra battery slot. 5”x5”x8” each… super light. 20ah in parallel, it’s nutty. They’re the closest to solid state that’s commercially available (those are probably a couple years out too).

@270trevon JP has his d4s lithium batts now on down4soundshop.com. I heard JP say in a KZfaq vid that his d4s lithium batts would indeed work in line with regular acid batts & agm batts. So I'm taking that as the down4sound lithium is perfectly ok for using underhood as main starting battery. *270trevon if I am by chance mistaken & do happen to be wrong please lmk. I will be 1st to admit I'm no pro when it comes to lithium nor the different types of lithium being used in car audio these days. I have been reading up on it & learning all I can lately because I am wanting to go lithium in my build. I'm still amazed at times by some guys bass build at how well their voltage maintains completely steady & does not drop even under the heaviest bass drops & crazy amounts of power being drawn. 20k rms & these guys maintaining 15 plus volts & no drop... I love it & that's my goal for my build!

It could have yinlong cells in it, from what I'm aware the only real manufacturer of LTO is just a big warehouse in China. The difference is the cells in this would be the best of the best, when LTO first hit the market it was common to have a dud cell, hence why Big D's test was so poor. Not sure exactly how it works, if XS pays more for only good cells, or if they buy them in bulk and find the best themselves.

@@UniCrafter LTO is a battery chemistry not specific to Yinlong. Lishen and Shengquan both make LTO cells. The SQ 6.0ah cells are in the D4S batteries. They're 6ah and roughly 60c with the button welded caps. Lishen is about 20c and 18ah per bank. Yinlong is only about 8c real world. These batteries have SCIB cells. They're high burst low AH, like 40-60c capable. Just not a lot of reserve though so plan accordingly. If you're somwhat handy you can hop on any diy lithium group and figure out what works for you. These are still a pretty solid off the shelf option.

@@NavyNate123 Ah right, wasn't sure yet if manufacturing had expanded, also 60c from something other than LiPo is nuts, yinlong seem to quote 15c, and a pair of 40ah Ive seen do 500a at 13 volts, so possibly capable of 10kw power also. Really neat stuff.

@@NavyNate123 Can you suggest what specs/brands/models I should look for if I want a good amount of reserve for fast and long bass songs? I'd probably never competition "burp" my system, so burst speed could be secondary to longevity in my build... I'll be pulling less than 4k watts, so I'd prefer to keep additional gear to a minimum as long as it keeps things stable. Thanks in advance.

Look at the other specs. People buying this for a stereo arent buying it for amp hours, amp hours alone means nothing when it comes to powering a monster stereo. Look up those 80ah cells and compare their max amperage to this one's: 2000A. The Titan8 can supply a 2000A load (peak, not sustained obvs). There is a middleground, though. XS makes a variant of these that has double the amp hours but can only support half the wattage/amperage. Costs similar, though.

There are water based lead batteries that put out pretty crazy amperage, but they're prone to vibrational damage, and so putting them in an engine bay and hooking subs up to them is really a recipe for a car fire.

Don't want to mix different lithium chemistries. The Gorilla series possibly since it's also SCIB technology. I wouldn't recommend it though.

Cmax cells can only withstand 150A max load, 100A sustained. Thats nothing. This is rated for up to 2000A load. For the purposes that the Titan8 was made, no Cmax cells can even compete.

@@faaaaq 150A per cell maybe. A 45ah cmax with good charging will support like 12k burps.

@@dankdaily5134 A couple decent AGMs with "good charging" will support 12k burps too.. Im running an XS AGM and a stock 200a alt and my system "supports" burps well over 3k so Im not sure what your point even is, really.. And "good charging" is a term that means nothing. What is "good?" Five 350a alts? A 275a alt? Multiple external generators? Its all relative. If using Cmax batteries was some magic pill, XS would just buy them bulk and sell them repackaged in a simple to use and install kit and not bother with the R&D costs of making something like the Titan8.. There is no magical perfect product that is useful in every situation or the best in every situation, your beloved Cmax cells and the Titan8 follow that same rule.

Do you disconnect your alternator at competitions/bumpin through the street? More a real life example if anything. Videos like this aren’t scientific anyway. It’s all anecdotal. Easy to do editing magic. Definitely do your own tests, but it’s something to give a general idea

@allmotorharsh if these batteries costs more than your entire system then you really need to step up your bass game bra! One would have to be using some cheap a** amp, budget sub, poor prefab enclosure, budget wire etc... Noway in the world does this battery cost more than any legit system! I'll be the first to admit that yes I think lithium is expensive but so is most everything else car audio related IF its good, quality gear! If your system is less expensive than this xs power lithium then it must be a bass package you bought that included your subs already wired & mounted in a cheap pre fab w/amp & amp wire kit all included in the package. That's the kind of system I don't want. Yes some of the more expensive bass packages are decent but still nothing that would satisfy meeee.

@allmotorharsh,, you are correct, now that I started doing some math,, I have a couple's thousands in my vehicle,,2/0 runs twice from front to back was a couple hundred,, I just hate to not use the batteries I have in my trunk,,lol. Much love for all you bass heads 💚💜💚
