I LOVE this idea. It is so easy and establishes a fun and playful connection from the first moment the child meets you!! How awesome!! I am just returning to work as a child therapist, so I am going through a lot of your videos to get back into the swing of it. You have some amazing ideas. I just ordered one of your books too! Interesting rapport building technique. I bet it works well in the office setting. I might bring a box of sunglasses with me, as I see children in their home.

Oh my gosh, this is an incredible idea!! I have my first session next week with a kiddo that has separation anxiety. I am excited to test this out!

It really depends on the client but usually works well with kids aged 3-10

This sounds like a great technique! We have some playful animal masks in our playroom at work; I think I will try wearing one of those to great the child for the first session, until I can get a collection of sunglasses.
