I am a Canadian citizen i lived 11 glorious years in Chengdu China. During those years I returned on several occasions to visit my family and friends and they always told me how I might have lived in a country as horrible as China. I tried a thousand ways to say to them that the idea they had of China was totally distorted. I showed them photos, videos and a thousand stories and they never believed me. I have visited more than 30 countries on 4 continents and describe the experience of living in China like this: INCREDIBLE. Living in China is living in the future and the best thing about China is its people who always treated me respectfully and opened the doors of their hearts to a foreigner like me and made me feel like one of them. I miss Chengdu and China with all my heart every day. In 2025 I will visit Chengdu and my dear friends and colleagues again as I miss them too much.

It’s because westerners, Americans, and China haters will be so mad at them and will be called names, China paid and not telling the truth. 100% China is not perfect just like any others. The difference is China taking care of its own citizens first and foremost and treat all its minorities with respect and taking good care of them as good or even better than Han majority. Thanks for foreigners telling the truth.

The West media always insult the God. They said they believed in God but they always lie. God hates lying! They used lying to humiliate God's name. Take God's name as a tool for their own evil. There is no God in their hearts. Sooner or later, they would pay for their evils.

The western media has to lie together with their politicians, else the truth of China developments will make them look so bad at home. Their citizens will start to question why can't they have China's high standard of infrastructure & safe streets in their country? Western politicians have been sleeping on their jobs and spending too much time dissing China (leaded by the US) in the current geopolitics.

These two have no clue about China. They don't speak the language and have never lived or worked there. This is the equivalent of a two year old lecturing on the theory of relativity. China is a great place to travel, but like when people travel in any country, they see the sights (some in China are amazing) but nothing below the surface. To pretend that they somehow understand the place and other people are all wrong is absurd, and incredibly dishonest. People should live there for ten years and speak, read and write the language before they start making big claims otherwise they're what Chinese people would call 大骗子

I am a 40 year old Chinese who grew up in China and witnessed the changes in China from 1985 to 2024. I have been frequently watching your videos lately, and I also really like you. I welcome you to play in China very much. Regarding the points in the videos, I would like to express my opinions Regarding smoking, I am a seasoned smoker myself. There are indeed many smokers in China, and now the overall quality of the people has improved. Generally, people do not smoke in shopping malls or indoor spaces, but in outdoor places. For example, when I go to a restaurant with my family, I walk outside and smoke on the road; When in the mall, I also go to the stairwell to smoke (well, this is also not right). Of course, the overall quality of Chinese people is not the highest, such as cutting queues, smoking in public places, spitting, and so on. I believe that with the development of China, these will become less and less common. Regarding public transportation and infrastructure, China's infrastructure construction is very good, and the government has done a great job in this area. The fees for people's livelihood are very low, such as water and electricity fees and transportation costs. Generally, air-conditioned buses only cost 2 yuan, and can travel from one end of the city to the other (I don't know if this is the case in foreign countries). I think the reason for this is that the Chinese government serves the people, while Western governments mostly serve the elite class. Regarding the internet, for many reasons, China may not be able to access foreign websites such as KZfaq and Twitter. However, there is no need to worry as downloading a VPN software in just one minute can solve all the problems, just like me. Many foreigners think that China's internet is terrible, which is wrong. China has all the apps that can be replaced, and I think it is more convenient to use. In China, even if you go to very remote rural areas, most of you still have high-speed internet, which is more convenient than the vast majority of countries in the world. Regarding payment, almost most Chinese people no longer use cash in their daily lives because electronic payments are more convenient. But cash can still be used, there's nothing to worry about. If a merchant doesn't accept cash, it's illegal. By the way, electronic payment is convenient, so taking a taxi, ordering takeout, booking hotels, tickets, and so on can all be operated on the phone, which is very, very convenient. Regarding cameras, I have seen many people who are dissatisfied with them and believe that they infringe on privacy. However, as someone living in this land, both myself and the people around me believe that this is good. Even when I see some travel videos discussing cameras, I dare not believe that some people may think that this is not a good thing. The simplest principle is that cameras can protect people's safety and prevent or record the occurrence of crimes. Twenty years ago, there were more incidents of robbery and theft in China than now, and now there are much fewer. Regarding the 2% of people who mentioned that the blogger was paid to post this video and slander China, I want to tell you a fact: the governments of the United States and Taiwan openly say that they have a large budget to slander the Chinese government and related issues about China. Chinese netizens call these people who are paid to slander them the 1450. These people and some media (such as the BBC) just take money to do things. The Xinjiang issue was caused by Western governments. Many Xinjiang people, due to these slanders, have changed factories to use machines and are afraid to hire them, losing a lot of income. Now, Xinjiang people hate these unscrupulous Western media. Not only the Xinjiang issue, but there are also many more. I don't want to list them all. What I want to say is that in today's 5G society, more and more people will have a clear and correct understanding of the world and will not be brainwashed by them.Of course, not everyone likes China. We welcome pointing out problems. If they are, we will humbly accept and correct them, but please do not slander them Chinese people are very hospitable and welcome all those who love peace and kindness to travel to China. China is very large, with many fun and endless types of delicious food, each city and region has its own characteristics, and every good lifestyle you think of can be found in China. Finally, I really enjoy the blogger's videos. I am waiting for your next Chinese travel video. If you come to Fuzhou, China, I will treat you to a meal.

@@ALWH1314I like Japanese people, food and Animation. The people are alright. I have Japanese friends so i know that. but their government sucks. Kishida is one of the worst leaders ever and it's all thanks to Japan having "Democracy". They said they apologized for WW2 but just saying Sumimasen deshita isn't enough to cover everything they've done. 😞 Japan is a sensitive topic to Many Chinese people so i won't extend it here. But i think the old generation in China should separate people from the government (Although in some countries it's not the case). Almost every Chinese person has a relationship with the CPC. And to be honest, it shows how much the CPC takes care of the Citizens and they all work together.

I was in UK, Amsterdam, Houston and many other South East Asian countries for my work and also challenge workshops related to my TAs shared experiences to the groups. Each time I would take a week to travel tours the countries and understood how their people responded to their foreigner in every respect. From the observation of their people and the cost of living, it seemed that the living standards had been declining as the salary could not catch up with the cost of living especially daily necessities. The showed the decline of living standards where the government did not want to review

@hockheekwek8431 In the last 10 years I have visited the USA, Australia. New Zealand, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Singapore, Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia, Japan, and South Korea. In terms of ease of living, China is indeed more convenient. In terms of people's cost of living, I mainly observe the most basic consumption, such as bread, milk, these countries can guarantee the minimum needs of people's living, can ensure that all people will not starve, but it is very difficult to be able to make a class leap to become a rich class. China is actually the same, it is difficult for the average Chinese people to make a class leap, they can only guarantee a subsistence or well-off living standard, the vast majority of the social wealth is in the hands of a small number of people, but the desire of the Chinese people is very low, may be related to China's traditional Confucian culture and ideological education, the bottom of the people are more willing to work hard on their own rather than hope in the government.

The queue cutting is mostly a generation thing, the older generation are normally less educated and they grew up during a time when resources were more scarce, back in the days, if they don't rush to the front, they probably have to wait for a long time for the next bus or train or miss out on whatever chance there is. Besides, China has a culture of respecting the elders, so when they cut, the younger ones would probably let them get away with it, and some would abuse it.

She also do solo bike trip around China. Another channel l would recommend is "Jerry's take on China". Its about Britain expat who debunks misconceptions and lies the U.S spread about China. Such topics include Chinese people can criticize its government, VPN is not banned etc.. His channel is my favorite for debunking the lies and false information.

The issue of visa applications is reciprocal, when country A waives its visa to country B, only then will country B waive its visa to country A. Nowadays, it is clear that the UK will not waive its visa to China, and the 144-hour visa-on-arrival policy that China has in place at this stage is already very favourable.

I think there is no problem for China to unilaterally open visas for western countries. After all, China is a country with a large population and a large labor force. Western countries are unlikely to open visa-free access to Chinese people at present. Westerners are also unlikely to stay illegally in China. So this is good, both to eliminate the negative impact of Westerners, but also the development of tourism economy.

I grew up in Hong Kong and have been watching the development of China. As you mentioned in the Shenzhen video, Shenzhen was only a fishing port 40-50 years ago, at that time, the whole China was very poor vs now, the people's living has been greatly improved. The Chinese people are watching this too, how can they not supporting the government. I heard from news that 9x% of Chinese people support Chinese Government, meanwhile, 1x% or 2x% of US, UK, Japan etc people support their governments. If the western countries accept the reality of an advanced China, the whole world should have been changed better, cheap 5G everywhere (vs in the metro/subway in Toronto (where I had lived for 6 years), they still cannot make phone calls in the train today, not mentioning surfing using 3G). The global warming is very serious now, why the western countries still restrict to accept Chinese EVs, or solar equipments, do these governments really love their people ? Whilst, as you mentioned in one of your video that in China, there is "People's park", "People's square", "People's....." everywhere, the Chinese government places the "People" in the 1st place and always in their mind

Queue jumping is a problem left over from China’s planned economy before reform and opening up. Many elderly people have experienced the planned economy. In that era, people had to queue up to buy firewood, rice, oil and salt. Sometimes they might not be able to buy it even if they queued up. If they couldn't buy it, they would go hungry, so they would try their best to queue up. Young people basically don't jump in line. Some young people will complain when they see it, but most people understand that their grandparents suffered the hardships of that era, so they just turn a blind eye.
