Other foods you must try in Malaysia; * Nyonya Curry Laksa…Noodles in coconut gravy…My all time favourite laksa..one of Malaysian signature dishes…it’s Malay, chinese and indian in one bowl…my favourite place to have it is at Ampang Park food court, but sadly the place is no longer there..but the one in Lot 10 shopping mall food court in Bukit Bintang comes close to it…i personally like vermicelli noodle when eating but some people prefer yellow egg noodle…you can ask for mix noodle if you want…and eat it with the sambal sauce n little squeeze of lime they give you for extra kick. * Satay…Take the MRT to Kajang and stop at Stadium Station ( before Kajang station)…from there just a walking distance to a satay restaurant called Satay Kajang Haji Samuri…There’re many satay places there, but I keep going to this particular one because it’s peanut gravy is the best for me…Mix the peanut gravy with sambal they give you,and if it’s not eanough, you ask for more. * Lemang and rendang…There are both heavenly matched…Lemang is sticky rice cooked in bamboo in grill fire…This dish is mainly popular during Ramadhan and Eid celebrations, but now you can find it year round at certain places…Try look up the youtube channel named “ChuBro” a Korean guy who makes lots of videos of Malaysian foods..i think the lemang he had was in a restaurant in a town outskirts of KL named Bentong…this area has the best lemang i’ve tasted so far…try look up youtube for lemang in Bentong. * Patin Tempoyak…Patin fish cooked with fermented durian and eat with white rice…this could be intimidating for some westerners but you’ll be surprised as it does not taste like the raw durian as you know it…I saw some westerners, Koreans and Japanese love it…Go to “Kak Nik Patin House” restaurant some where on KL, you can google the location…There they serve the dish with bunch of other dishes..you will be spoilt for choice. * Nasi Kerabu (Salad rice)…this is a blue rice serve with veggies, grilled chicken or grilled beef or fried fish, and of course with it sambal sauce and toasted coconut…it’s dish from the Kelantan , the east coast of Peninsula Malaysia…You have to mix the rice with the veggies, toasted coconut and the sambal sauce first and eat it with the meat…You can find it in Kampung Baru, i think the location is mentioned in one of the comments here…there you can get Nasi Dagang and Laksam too ( another type of laksa but from the east coast…it is homemade thick rice noodle serve with fish based coconut gravy and veggies and it’s sambal…another favourite of mine). * Roti canai…either plain roti or egg roti ( roti telur) or roti sardine…eaten with dhal curry or fish curry gravy and sambal…my fav eating roti with dhal curry mix with sambal, or fish curry mix with sambal..available at mamak restaurant ( Indian muslim) and they usually open 24 hrs and you can find them every where in KL even in Malaysia….the one nearest to twin towers area is NZ curry house and Pelita Nasi kandar restaurant…I prefer NZ curry house. * Nasi Kandar,,,white rice with mix curry gravy, do not miss the black gravy as it’s signature of Nasi kandar gravy, meat choice either chicken or beef or both if you want, boiled long okra, yellow cabbage dish and boiled egg or salted egg…you can get squid or prawn but they are pricy…for crispiness ask for papadom. Ok, am tired of typing…There are endless delicious dishes in Malaysia, even as Malaysian we haven’t tried them all, but these are some of the popular ones you can find easily all year round…Anyway, Dont worry about beaches n all if food is what you are into…You can find beautiful beaches in many countries, Malaysia has beautiful beaches too no doubt, Semporna Islands in Sabah is like Maldives…but, but you can only find delicious Malaysian foods in Malaysia….Cheers and. enjoy Malaysia guys!✌️

When you are at Petaling Street, you don't eat at those air-conditioned shops. Go to shops that have you sweating profusely. Some of them are stalls and some at back lanes or side lanes. Nevertheless, there are some stalls that have upgraded to air-conditioned shops that comes with a higher price dish.

@@sunkissedbucketlist Illegals are illegals, whether they can speak English or not. Liliana is only trying to advice you for your own health benefit. These illegals not only prohibited from doing business here but they also don't have health checks and hygiene certificates. Since you are in Malaysia, why not support Malaysian business big or small. We are not discriminating anyone but just want to protect the livelihood of our own people. Since you don't know Malay language, being conversant in English the simplest way for you to identify the illegals (that do business) on the street. Most Malaysians are thought Malay and English language since primary school. There are also Chinese and Indian schools in Malaysia which also teach Malay language. In Madam Tang case, most probably she was educated in Chinese school, but unfortunately she could not converse with you in Malay. Or maybe she came from mainland China and married to a Malaysian Chinese and settled down here.

Please don't make Malaysia a shame by recommending more people coming over to this famous & ugly Petaling Street . There is so.many more other beautiful & exciting places to visit in KL.

Please don't make Malaysia a shame by... your stupid comment. Suka hati dia le nak suka makan apa atau ke tempat mana dia nak pergi. Kalau ada tempat yg buruk dan hodoh pun bukan tugas dia nak sorok tapi tugas kita nak perbetul atau indahkan.
