PROS: -It's a very atmospheric and creative setting, with a large variety of interesting locales. Pretty to look at. -The writing is some of the best I've ever seen in gaming, very robust in its descriptions. The story is ambitious and transcends worlds and dimensions. -The different ship designs are cool and ship combat is simple. -The music is decent (though not as good as the previous game's). CONS: -It's a lot of reading and, unless you're a reader outside of the game, you might find this text-heavy story too much to finish. -The system for keeping track of your mission destinations/turn-ins is not very intuitive nor convenient. You might need a notepad. -The ships don't scale with your journey through the worlds. It often feels your ship's stats should be increasing, along with enemy difficulty, but the ships available in tougher areas are not upgrades. Trading your ship in for a new one often feels like a lateral move. -Ship combat being simple also means it's clunky and repetitive. I did enjoy this game, and its predecessor Sunless Sea, but these guys never quite got the GAME aspect of their work perfected. This series feels like a group of talented writers and programmers coming together to make something special, but the actual GAME DESIGN was still fairly lacking. 3/5

Trailer is very misleading. Makes it feel like some sort top down of action shooter with airships, when in fact this is way more of a moody steampunk story rpg with A LOT of reading for better or worse and some very rare action segments on the side.

I hope really they are gives us a good game like fallout new Vegas or dishonored or dying light 1 OR even metro last light after this game!
