If you’re curious, Queso went on to win their next series against G2, but since G2 came from the upper bracket Queso need to win 2 series in the grand finals, and G2 prevailed in the second one to win the major. I was very happy for G2 even though Queso winning the whole thing would’ve been insane. All in all, I don’t think it takes away from how amazing this moment, and their entire tournament was.

Ive literally studied this save so much, and still it blows my mind that Rise gets there in time in spite of turning the wrong direction! Vatira did just enough to buy every fraction of a second Rise needed, which was amazing on its own, but everyone who plays knows how many things couldve gone wrong to make that whole game go a different way. Thats why we love this ESport!!!

I was in the stands when this happened, rooting for SSG like my life depended on it. The crowd's reaction to the [what they thought was a] goal and subsequent save was more electric than when G2 won. it's hard to describe the roller coaster of emotions everyone went through in the span of less than a second. Did not expect to see such a historic moment in my first LAN ever. heartbreaking moment as an SSG fan, but it showed the grit, determination and skill Queso displayed throughout the tournament. If it weren't for their poor group stage or the terrible format, I think Queso easily wins the tournament. These kids are going places

I love these kinda videos, only person that I’ve seen who can tell like a story that makes me feel like I’m watching an anime. Team Queso, Rise, Vatira, and Joyo gained a big fan from NA. There dedication and drive was unbelievable fighting out of the trenches to forcing a grand final bracket reset, and almost having the championship was more than inspiring. I will be excited to see them play in the next major and I really hope they take a championship. They deserve it. True peak rocket league.

I'm a newly minted SSG fan, and I was 75% of the way through yelling "LET'S GOOOOO!" when suddenly it wasn't a goal. Also, I love how this entire story is so epic that there's zero time spent on discussing the fact that Queso beat Faze 4-1 to get to the LB Finals, as if that wasn't wild enough.

This is the best kind of video. Captures all of the drama, the technical expertise, and the instincts of the players and lays it out in a way that even a non-fan can understand and appreciate. This is the kind of video I can show my friends and family and help them “get” why I like this so much.

I was already out of my seat cheering when I saw Retals go for the lead block, they had made it work so many times before earlier in the series. I'm an SSG fan and even though this attempt didn't go there way it was the most exciting moment of the LAN. GG's all around.

Those kids will cherish that feeling likely forever, super cool seeing kids that otherwise seem like shut-ins and socially awkward rejects be the star of the show and be supported by their peers like that!

This LAN made me a huge fan of Queso. I think they have the highest peak, higher than G2. I just think that the lower bracket run really took a toll on them. You really noticed the fatigue in the second series against G2 from game 3 and onwards. That is why it is so important to be on your game in the group stage, to ensure an upper bracket spot.

Not to take anything away from G2, they played amazing all week...but that lower bracket run is an insane disadvantage....credit to C9 for pulling it off in S6, but I'm glad that format is over, it only gets exciting if it goes to a 2nd series (like it did here)....personally prefer grand finals on an even playing field

Props to G2 and the org has deserved a win for quite a while so ggs to them, but G2 had to win 3 series and Queso had to win 7, over half of which were played on the same day. I get the whole upper and lower bracket thing, but the fact that there is such a massive difference between coming first and second in the group stages is not great in my opinion. The advantage that the upper bracket teams have over the lower bracket is way too high, as proven by the fact that basically no one in the lower bracket has ever managed to win, I know a few have, but not enough to make it a fair enough split.

I just got back into RL about a week ago after a year or so. Back then, I just drove around smashing people and ball chasing. Watching this channel has got me hooked even more, and I've already learned more and improved tremendously in the past week, then the entire year or so I played before. Just be prepared for some good month of frustration, as the game doesn't really begin to even closely resemble these scenes until you put in a long grind in practice mode. It's really like learning a sophisticated instrument.

I first watched this video having never seen an RLCS game. Until Charlie bought out team queso and turned them into Moist, and was a fan ever since. Its cool coming back to watch this after being a fan of Moist and watching them win and major and finish runner up in their next one after Vatira left.

One thing that amaze me in this clip, is the composure of Rise. When he respawns, starts boosting towards the goal, takes a pad but keep some in the tank. Only to use the rest at the last moment in order to build up enough inertia so that, the ball gets cleared far enough when he saves it. Absolute beast.

Great video. The Queso guys have made a fan out of me after that major. That added with their appearance on Rizzo's scuffed cast have shown what amazing kids they are and how much respect they have out there. Really hope they can keep this success rolling and repeat in the Spring (yes, getting 2nd to G2 again)!
