10 வருடங்களாக கணவன் மனைவி இரண்டு பேர் மட்டும் எந்த பிரச்சனையும் தராமல் வீட்டையும் வெளிப்புறத்தையும் சுத்தமாக பராமரித்து வருகிறோம். 10000 ரூபாய் அதிகப்படுத்தி விட்டு எண்ணி 3 மாதகாலம் அவகாசம் கொடுத்து காலிபன்ன சொல்கிறார்கள். நாங்கள் senior citizen. உறவுக்காரர்கள் அருகில் இருப்பதால் பார்த்துக்கொல்வார்கள் என்று வாழ்ந்துவருகிறோம். கிடைக்கும்வறை கேட்பதை கொ டுத்துவிடுகிறோம் என்று சொல்லியும் அடிக்கடி 3 மாதம் முடியப்போவதை ஞாபகப்படுத்தி மன உளைச்சல் கொடுக்கிறார்கள். கத்திரிவெயிலில் வீடு தேட முடிவதில்லை. நாங்கள் நிம்மதி இழந்து தவிக்கிறோம். 10 வருடம் ஆனதால் பயப்படுகிறார்கள். நம் சொந்தவீட்டை பார்ப்பதுபோல் பராமரித்து வருகிறோம். பணம் தான் பிராதானம்.

Owning a house is also not easy. If you put your money in FD. you get 8 percent. In rent you won't even get 4% for a 50 Lacks house. . More over there are taxes for houses, Maintenance, Repair works. Flooding issue etc.

In City it's common to rent houses. But they won't reveal to Corporation to avoid property tax. They won't register rental agreement also. Avoiding tax and stamp duty. They will execute rental agreement also just for 11 months as 1 year agreement will attract compulsory registration. Corporation will never check this which is very simple to prove tenency. Corruption, corruption and corruption....

Reason for rental increase is because house owners would hv not earned regular rental income since pandemic but regular overheads like EMI, increased property tax, water tax and EB hv been taken care since then. Now it's normal to charge high for compensating but whether they decrease the rent when it breaks even is a million dollar question. We have to wait and watch

Problem here is greedy owners and no proper litigation by government for the rent per square feet while all the employee pays tax to government.. no school or medical expense leverages and in addition to the basic expense now rent is additional head ache for middle class family.. i will put case in court for the greedy demand of rent if I get opportunity

U should try taking an housing loan and let out that property for rent, say if you buy 50lakhs property you need to pay 50k EMI now imagine how much rent would that property fetch and what would be owners over heads like property tax, water tax and incase of any repair works that needs to be taken care, white wash alone would cost around 30 to 40k for two bedroom flats. If major expenses like bore well to be done owner spends in lakhs for tenants utilisation. Not an easy thing to buy a property and let out for rent. Rather owner could have invested same amount in deposits without worrying

As you said i too agree but in chennai people are getting more greedy seeing other pg type lenting out and family is getting affected out of such bench mark.. even to say frankly in some places brokers hire the house from owners and earn more making margin over the normal rent figure.. which can eradicated only if govt brings some standard guide figure per sq ft.. and these days most of the repairs are taken care by the rent payers and not by owners.. due to their black mailing over the silly reasons knowing family cannot be shifted immediately due to the school for children and work near by we do... Etc

When a normal person is satisfied in the life with the things he own then automatic all the real estate brokers will give nominal rent as they don't find owners to buy their property and no need of this discussion for variation in the rent once govt fixes the rent per sq ft for normal middle class and poor based on their income which is linked with ITR.. We pay huge tax and no benefits interms of school/hospital/house rent etc. govt should find proper solution for poor below the poverty line and also for middle class to be fixed with their earning limits

Thease are silly reasons. If they split the excess amount for 12 months it will not exceed 400 rs. But they are increasing more than 50%rent. Peoplr have no options and goes prey for the market

india has lower rent. in many countries rents are high. when we pay 10 pc interest we need to have atleast 6-7 pc as rent return if not 10 pc

Gov did not increased the property tax gradually ...after covid restriction people were stabilising their financial needs and most of the house were vacant.. suddenly the gov increased the property tax....every one was suffering from the covid financial time....gov not even consider the people pain and increasing the tariff....still now they are increasing other stuff and creating more pain....
