A young mother's journey with her new diagnosis of ataxia. See how she copes with the news and strives to make her daily life better.
Ataxia is a term for a group of disorders that affect co-ordination, balance and speech. Any part of the body can be affected, but people with ataxia often have difficulties with: balance and walking. speaking. swallowing.
Ataxia is usually caused by damage to a part of the brain known as the cerebellum, but it can also be caused by damage to the spinal cord or other nerves.

Thank you for this honest and beautiful video. I have been recently diagnosed and it’s really hard to deal with. I feel better and less alone after seeing this. I wish you all the best.

My wife is also suffering from same. Where ever we ho I have to hold her hand . She is also on gluten free diet since 2019. Still we are fighting with . By the grace of Almighty we are also blessed with triplets, who are now 5 yr old. Dispite of her health condition she is a great mom and looking after the kids .

Sunny, you are beyond an amazing woman!! I love your positive attitude, inner strength & faith! What a beautiful family you have! Your daughters are darling! I feel so fortunate to have met your Mom (LT Fitness). She shared the link info so I could watch your video. Others who have had a similar diagnosis will greatly benefit from watching this ~ as well as people who might be having symptoms. 🙏 Siete una bellissima famiglia Italiana!! 🇮🇹🙏🔆🙏

If you haven’t tried this please try!! You can improve. Start a gluten free diet for 8-10 weeks, no diet soda. I was just like you, my psychiatrist figured it out. My whole life changed. Please try this. Read the book Grain Brain…..Lori RPh 🙏🌷

I can relate totaly. I was diagnosed with Friedreich-Ataxia in 2021, but the first Symptoms started to show around 2017. My Neurologist told me today that there is a medication on the market as of last year. It stops the disease and it repairs damages done by it reversible uo to two years. He wouldn´t prescribe it to me though, because it is so expensive and he want´s me to try and get it over a special study program ithat I participate in. Ask your neurologist for Skyclarys, Sunny... maybe you´re lucky and you get a prescription, I wish you all the best...

Please start a gluten free diet. You will get better. I had the same thing. The fatigue went away as well. I had a brilliant doctor. There is no lab test for “gluten intolerance”. You can explore online for more info!! Lori RPh
