The official website of the parade implies that Pinkie was supposed to get her own parade float, and there's a photo from 2013 of a G3 Pinkie Pie parade float on the website. It’s not clear if she actually ended up appearing today.

The announcer seems to know something we don't when he stated that Sunny Starscout is Pinkie Pie's friend. Was there some lost episode I missed? Maybe one of Pinkie Pie's clones was sent to the future where she met Sunny? Someone must tell me how this is possible!

It’s much more likely that the announcer just didn’t know that much abt mlp or misspoke than this being canon, it’s a fun theory but the clone must have aged and died like pinkie did
