My parents and I have always wanted to start van life but due to some financial issues we can’t afford it right now but once we get back on track we may be close to van life… This channel is what has inspired us to consider it. im so glad i found this channel, I've been looking into the van or rv life for awhile for when i move out, and your videos give me a good view on both the pros and cons, instead of just the pros and it also lets me get a better idea on what it's like

I also regularly drive a 2019 promaster, other than issues with the parking brake snapping, it has been ultra reliable. Also sometimes issues with the sliding door close sensor, but that’s pretty common on any vehicle with a sliding door.

I have the 1500, Wheel Base 136, just like you said but, the night driving headlights are awful. I don’t need to drive at night very often, or for very far, fortunately. It’s a 2020, High Roof, and have had to replace amber lights x2. 1 headlamp, and the camera had issues in 2022, I still haven’t replaced that, as it was quoted as expensive, yet not covered under warranty. I have yet to replace that, and visibility is good with stealth mirror usage, and slow back ups, where I cannot see, with no side windows in the cargo space. My mechanic recommended it, and I am glad, to be able to stand up in it.

The question is, what kind of mileage are you getting in the terrain that you are exploring versus the gross weight of your van? In addition, do you find that it's front wheel drive layout versus the competitions rear wheel drive format an advantage over other vans in this class for day to day handling and bad weather situations. Also which engine is in the van?

I wish I could afford something I could stand in. But, It's a 2008 chrysler mini van for me. It is what it is...Its really about the convenience of traveling...but standing in your living space really would be a game changer.

Did this for 3 years with my 2 toddlers. I will never go with a van anymore. It has to be a big Prevost for me. It was fun for a while till it's not anymore. The longer we lived in it, the more I felt homeless. 😅😅😅
