Ozthunder Storm Chasing

Only a weak storm, but some nice lightning, which later in the day was contrasted against an Orange sunset

Thanks Mate, as long as La Nina stays away hope to get more starting around October. Last season fell flat on its face when the La Nina rain started around Christmas.

Bloody amazing, Mate! Just going by my experience, don't try to focus in close, you'll just waste the storm. Just pull the lens back and get as much as you can. Stay dry, Mate.

I count seven ground terminations during the 0:30 flash, tied for the most I've seen in a video (the other is actually pingtang666's video) and the most confirmed by scientific observations as of a few years ago. Interestingly, none of the strokes have long continuing current which seems common in flashes like this.

I'd take a weak thunderstorm with an impressive lightning display over a severe thunderstorm with only one or two clearly visible C-Gs.

this the best video ever the 4 lightnings when the yrain went by thats my favorite thing on youtube ozthunder when you can can you do a cambeltown in sydney storm chases cause in summer cambeltown cops it.

ozthunder yea sorry for me overdoing it i was abit young and exited. Cambeltown often has bad traffic conditions and bad accidents. So i know what you mean. Good luck doing more storm videos.!
