Why the complete show of this hasn't been released on dvd beggars belief. Absolutely bloody brilliant!

Bunnymen approaching their peak. Great footage of, possibly the greatest live rock n roll band ever. Well in about 1985 anyway when Pete lead the way and Mac did the only vocal.

Was lucky to have been there. The acoustics were incredible. Mac was always saying they were the best band in the world, on that night no one could argue

So here is the footage of them playing. Fantastic. I saw them on Tuesday and really enjoyed it but this energy and verve has gone. The youthful arrogance and swagger have long since faded and now we have some fairly old chaps playing some damn fine songs but and it's heartbreaking to say, a bit like a tribute band! I wonder if they just keep going cos they kind of have to, to keep the Bunnymen legend alive. But this is fuffing beautiful!

I agree. I saw them a couple of years earlier and you knew they were on their way up, a few years later and you knew they were over the crest. They were untouchable at this point though, and Mac introducing 'The Killing Moon' as "one of the greatest songs ever written" didn't sound as bad as if Bono had talked in the same way of a U2 song.

Over the years I've often thought about this Tube special it had a profound effect on me at the time, thought I would never see it again, don't you just love modern technology, thanks for preserving and posting this high quality memory of times prior to the Simon Cowell etc controlled music rubbish on tele today..

Was such a huge fan. The music is still highly compelling. The lyrics are really crap, unfortunately. Cu-cu-cucumbers, ca-ca-ca-cabbage.
