Were carts stereo? I only remember the FM days of Nova and Sunshine.

Yes, although the Sunshine jingles are mono.

What does FAST do?

It's like a fast forward for the cart. Let's it re-cue quicker. It can be manually pressed or in this case a cue tone was recorded onto the cart at the end of the jingle sequence to get it to re-cue quickly. Nothing worse than carts that haven't been re-cued!!
