I've always liked this song. I knew it for a long time (kind of hard not to know it when you listened to the local classic rock FM radio station), and so when my metal band liked to just jam out to the song, it was cool to finally be playing something that I heard on the radio with other people.
The tuning on this song was a bit hard. I found out by using a tuner, that it's 15 cents Sharp, but Jack Bruce also did some bends which made it tricky as well to figure out. I've retuned the track to E standard

0:46 right before the chorus, you can see him on his EB-3 playing 5-3-5
1:33
2:12 - see some of the solo
kzfaq.info/get/bejne/eN2dmZhpkq3Pd2Q.html
0:09 - shows the riff in the verse real nicely for the positioning.

0:39 - you can see the key modulation/change well
Thanks for watching! Enjoy :)

Cream, the first of the 60’s SuperGroups. A British three piece band with Ginger Baker on drums; Eric Clapton guitarist; and Jack Bruce on ‘Lead’ bass. If you want to know how important the bass is just listen to the album, ‘Live At The Fillmore’! RIP Jack and Ginger. You may have left us but your musical legacy will live forever.

I like jamming this in a lower register. It turns into such a heavy riff.

Good stuff, man! Thank you! I had to brush up for a gig tonight and this helped a lot, so thank you for real. I don't know why but I tend to cut the verse exactly in half by length. I guess I'm just impatient hahaha Saw the flag. I grew up in Massachusetts (currently living in Rhode Island) but I was born in El Paso. 🖖

Great cover and tab bro! I am learning this cover on guitar and bass for one of my bands right now. Good song. Great job. It took me a sec to realize that was a five string lol. Those are better IMO. Liked and Subbed. Look forward to seeing more.

Brilliant!! Thank you so much for this. I’m currently struggling away with White Room by Cream (the runs are really tricky 😳), but I’ll dabble with this one in between, so I don’t drive myself nuts with frustration 🤗 Question: Could you have a stab at Sir Duke by Stevie Wonder? My music teacher (my nephew), asked me to pick a song that I thought would be impossible to do and work towards that, so picked Sir Duke 😧🤪

Please help, I am relatively new to reading symbols. What is that symbol with the arrow pointing up with 1/4 over it telling me to do? My guess is that it is saying to bend the string up? Thank you for your work sir!

Love the content of your work. Can you tell me what you are thinking when you move your left hand. Are you thinking 3 3 55 5 55 55 55. something like that?
@SamboatMusicBassCovers
@SamboatMusicBassCovers 2 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I think like that in the beginning and then once the song gets ingrained, then I start to think more about where my hand should be and what finger I should use, rather than the fret itself
