Indian 2 is an upcoming Indian Tamil-language vigilante action film directed by S. Shankar, who co-wrote the script with B. Jeyamohan, Kabilan Vairamuthu and Lakshmi Saravana Kumar. The film is jointly produced by Lyca Productions and Red Giant Movies. The sequel to Indian (1996), Kamal Haasan reprises his role as Senapathy, an ageing freedom fighter turned vigilante who fights against corruption, with Siddharth, S. J. Suryah, Rakul Preet Singh, Bobby Simha, Vivek, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Gulshan Grover, Samuthirakani and Nedumudi Venu in the ensemble cast.

Shankar clarified that when Indian film started there was 2.0 at the final stage so that AR already faced heavy challenges for final mixing so that Shankar felt don't give overwork for AR. Finally he gave the chance to Anirudh due to his excellent talent . AR missing his chance to work with Indian 2 however if AR worked in this movie even his songs are as same as what Anirudh did now because trend is changing now and this generation people like this kind of songs. Those days are gone when we hear the songs by cassette but what happened now? We should update now and there is no rift between shankar and AR so We will see them as a Team again ❤
