18 psi comparing to 15 psi means x1.7 more air. 6" comparing to 4.7" means x1.6 more air. So, these numbers are about identical, and thus we needs about a same time to inflate a board.

I spent over a thousand dollars on a Blackfin xl about a year ago. I've enjoyed the board but I started to notice the glue on the deck and board were failing in multiple places. Given the circumstances with covid I can understand receiving a flawed product but I have been absolutely appaled at the customer service I received. When I contacted customer service about what is obviously a manufacturing flaws their solution was to send me glue which damaged the paint on the board. When I contacted them again that I shouldn't have to do a self fix on an almost new board that had a manufacturing flaws, they emailed me directions on how to apply the glue. I was not offered any other solution to my problem and have had more spots on the board come apart since then. Don't risk it, buy from someone else

Hey Bolt. That doesn't sound good. I have seen deck pads come aways from all types of boards and brands. It's a boards that have pointy edges on their deck pad opposed to smooth round corners generally do tend to catch and peel more. But I haven't heard of any other iRockers having this problem so far. It does sound like your deck pad is coming off more than just in the odd place. I'm not defending a rocker in anyway but I also have heard exactly the same process of customer service from all brands. I guess this is the problem with buying a board that isn't available in a shop. If you could take it into the shop they could physically see the board and how damaged it is and possibly repair it for you or replace the board if they saw fit. Big thanks for your comment it's always good to see and read about everybody's feedback from their boards. Reuben

Thanks for this complete review! I’m have never been on a paddle board before and was thinking of getting this board as a first board that would keep me happy for a long time. Could my height of 5’3” be a problem for me on this 11 foot long SUP? Anyone short who tried it and loved it?
@SUPboardermag
@SUPboardermag 3 жыл бұрын
Hey Catherine. From our experience the longer 11' board will give you much more glide over the water compared to a shorter board. Your height wont be a problem at all. The only problem with a longer board will be it will be a bit heavier to carry down to the water, and it will be a bit slower to turn around. But for general flatwater paddling this wont be a problem. I hope that helps? Thanks Reuben

Hi there, What an informative review on iRocker 11' All Around! I really enjoy your channel. Couple of questions. 1) Do you know if the rails and seams are heat welded or simply glued using PVC on these boards? 2) Have you had a chance to try out their newer ultra series All around SUP? If so, what do you make of it given its compact size but lower weight capacity. Would love to read your comments on that. Thanks!
@SUPboardermag
@SUPboardermag Жыл бұрын
Hi Ankit, unfortunately we haven't got any of the new boards yet. But I think we have some coming. I don't believe these boards have got heat welded rails. I was very impressed with the year of boards in the videos construction we still have them around and they are absolutely fine. But I really look forward to getting on some new stuff and getting a review out soon. But my feedback on all compact and ultra boards (at present) are if you need them to be super small when pack down then great ,but if you don't need that extra space when deflated then a standard type of board is best. Because the fold in centre line will always have the potential risk of damaging the board down the centre line. But of course I have not seen these boards so don't know how they are constructing them now. Does that make sense thanks? Reuben.

I just ended up storing them by loosely rolling them up in my garage dry outside the bag. Seems to be a gentle way of storing them. Great video, thanks for sharing. My problem trying to choose my first paddleboard is my size. I’m 6’4 330 pounds, I understand the weight limit before sinking, but I was wondering if i’m too heavy, will the board bend too much to enjoy. I saw that the blackfin XL might be a better fit, but I don’t know if the 50 pound weight limit added will be a gamechanger for the price difference. What do you think?
@SUPboardermag
@SUPboardermag 2 жыл бұрын
Good comment Yannick. iSUPs will bend with weight I the middle. We'd suggest looking at higher volume boards like the Thurso Max Multi, Sandbanks Style Cruiser Reef, Shark SUPs All round 10'8. Going above 300L will give you added stiffness and better stability for your size. Hope this helps. Thanks, Beau

Seriously, how hard is it to pump up a SUP with a manual pump ? The reason I ask is that I am about to buy my first paddleboard having hired boards in 2021 and have narrowed my choice down to two: the iRocker All-Around 11’ or the Bluefin Cruise. The BlueFin however comes with a free electric pump. A mate who owns one says the electric pump is almost essential, but to be fair he only got a single chamber manual pump with his board. The iRocker is a 2-chamber pump
@SUPboardermag
@SUPboardermag 2 жыл бұрын
Hi Brian, It's not too much of an issue if you are only pumping up the board occasionally. It does get tough to pump in the last 5-10 PSI (especially if using the board regularly as it's a pain) so an electric pump is very handy for this, but it can take a lot longer too with an electric pump. Electric pumps will make it easier, but if you're not fussed, then it's no issue. Hope that helps. Thanks, Beau

Good question. I'd say they are pretty even, but if are wanting a little extra performance and usability in different conditions, the Bluefin would be the recommended choice. iSUPs are pretty tough. iRocker make quite durable SUPs and we have had a few different brands with dogs on them without any issues. If the nails are sharp, you may have see scratches on the board. Of course, clipping the nails would be the best option.

I noticed a comment on the irocker website that the foot pad strips collect water, whereas your review mentioned the water ran off quite well. Have you heard of a design change on the 2021 model where the water can't run off anymore? We live in a cold water environment, so that's important to me.
@SUPboardermag
@SUPboardermag 3 жыл бұрын
Hi Jan, thanks for your comment. This is something that we did not really notice when we were paddling the boards. I actually quite like having the deck pad the way that iRocker have finished it. Yes I can see that the water would get caught in the grooves of the deck pad more but if anything it means your feet stay a little bit drier because you were obviously standing on the higher parts of the deck pad which unless you are getting them super wet should stay fairly dry. Unless you are paddling and getting a lot of water on top of the board I don't see this as a problem and in the middle of winter for us the water temperature is still fairly cold and I can go out and keep my feet fairly warm and dry with this current trackpad. Which by the look of it is the same as the 2021 boards. Hope this helps a bit? thanks Reuben

Great informative video! I'm fairly new to SUP, and I can't decide between the iRocker All-Around 11, Thurso Waterwalker 132, and Gili Adventure 11. They all seem to have great features and few downsides. I'm 6', 160lbs (73kg) and will likely often have a child riding up front, so I really like the side handles that the Gili & iRocker have, but I like that the Thurso has a carbon rail and paddle holder. Gili is the only out of those three that does not have a dual-chamber pump. Any recommendation out of those three? I'm nestled in the Great Lakes region of the US, so lots of lakes and rivers to paddle on.
@SUPboardermag
@SUPboardermag 3 жыл бұрын
Yeah its a close one between those boards. TBH for me it would be the iRocker 11 I would take for the simple reason that it looks the best and the handles are place well on the board. Its also a little bit lighter compared to the Thurso also. I hope that helps a little ? Thanks Reuben

My wife is 100 lbs and 5’1”. I ordered the 10’ version of this SUP for her. I ordered the 11’ for myself. Given her size was this a good choice? We’re beginners using on flat water lakes and very rarely calm ocean.
@SUPboardermag
@SUPboardermag 3 жыл бұрын
Hi Randall. For getting into the sport these boards will be great. After a while of use and if you both start to want to paddle further you both (but more likely your wife) may want a board with more length and less width and possibly less thickness too. This will let her paddle further for less effort. But for both of you now great boards to buy into to see what side of the sport you want to progress. Thanks Reuben

Hi, I’m looking at the specs of the board on the irocker website it shows that it can hold up to 435 lbs (197 kg) but you’re showing only 120 kg. I’m just wondering if it’s a board that I should consider if I fall somewhere in the middle of that range or if I should look elsewhere. Thank you.
@SUPboardermag
@SUPboardermag 3 жыл бұрын
Hi Kelly. Yes this can be confusing, sorry.. But we really try to recommend a realistic paddlers weight. In other words… The board could take that much physical weight before sinking (435lb). But could a rider of that weight actually stand and paddle the board? Does that make sense? I feel that you may want to look at a board with more width around 34" wide. Then it would make the board much more stable and allow you to paddle in a wider range of conditions. Does that help? Thanks Reuben

Hi I’m deciding between irocker all around 10 and 11. I’m male, 160lbs, 6’1” with some paddleboarding experience. I heard that if you are above 5’11” you should go with size 11 but I like the increased meneaverability and cheaper price of size 10. Would it be a mistake to get a smaller size? Thank you
@SUPboardermag
@SUPboardermag 3 жыл бұрын
Hey Grzegorz . Good question. I think you will be fine with ether board. They are both 32" wide which is an idea width for your weight. Yes it is true the taller you are the bigger boards will help you. But the stability of the board is really only gained in it width. The length makes a small difference to the stability but not much. The length makes more of a difference to the glide/speed of the board. So if you after a board with more manoeuvrability the 10' will be fine and the one I would recommend. Hope That helps Reuben

@SUPboardermag 3 жыл бұрын
Hey Nala, Have you seen this the video we did on the range ? kzfaq.info/get/bejne/leB-frSGtr2zm3U.html The big difference between the cruise and the cruise carbon is the stiffness and weight of the board. Riders up to 95 kg would be fine on the cruise. But if you are looking to take more weight on the boards then going for carbon will offer a much better performance because it is stiffer. Also the carbon board weighs more so generally lighter paddlers don't want to carry the extra weight of the board. Does that help?

I depends how good they are at sitting still! I have had 2 kids on boards before. Obviously the more they move and the heavier they are harder it is to paddle with them. Going out in nice flat water conditions really helps too. Thanks Reuben

Hey Lorex. We had never heard of this brand until now. Im sure they will get you on the water but they do look like a much lower quality to the other brands we have review on SUPboarder so far. There are some many cheap Amazon based brands we just cant keep up. I will say 'you do get what you pay for'. I know that doesn't help much ..sorry Thanks Reuben

Which board is best, I rocker or blue fin carbon cruise
@SUPboardermag

Bluefins are a little bit stiffer and have more materials on them but are heavier also so generally better for the heavier weight paddlers. I personally think the iRockers are a really good looking well-made product that suit many weights and are not as heavy as the bluefins. Thats the basic way to look at it. Any help? Thanks Reuben

stay away from this brand. We bought 2 of these and spend almost $3,000.One of the big fins is defective and does not fit into the slot.IRocker does not accept calls and has not responded to our emails. So stressed and haven't been able to use it since we got it.

Garbage customer service. From the second board leaves their warehouse, they are done with you. Poor shipping practices and they take no responsibility for loss/damage and won't even work with their shipper to rectify issues. AVOID THIS COMPANY!!!

if you live in the EU don't buy Irocker, the customer service is horrible, they don't respond to customers, and when things go wrong, you have nothing to complain about! It's a shame!! buy another brand if you don't want to lose your money 👎👎👎

It sounds like they are having manufacturing issues, which has happened to other brands in the past. I'm sure they will fix this issue in due course and the next batch of boards will be better. Hopefully the boards are still under warranty.
