They look to be advertised for about the same under full throttle, but the original is more powerful. The new bikes they just released earlier this year beat both of them in range by far

I wanted to get a super 73 and I ended up buying an eco tric mountain bike nine hundred bucks delivered from Amazon I got it June 6th 2019 and I have 2136 miles on it as of today April 17th 2020 I have not put one dime into it except for a $30 set of brakes for the front and back. I am going to buy a 48 volt battery instead of the 36 volt that I have. The super 73 would have been great if I lived in a flat area but here in southwestern Pennsylvania there are lots of hills. I'd like to have a super 73 frame and put a predator 212 gas engine on it that would be great. But I love the e-bike program and I am upgrading my mountain bike. I'm 60 years old and I want to do less pedaling. Eventually I'm going to end up with a suron. I can't wait for that. But in the meantime everybody have a good time on the e-bikes they are great

Wow! That is an impressive amount of miles on a bike in less than a year! Yeah I live in San Francisco which is extremely hilly too but my super73 does just fine for the most part.

The s900 computer for my bike does 24 volt 36 volt and 48 volt. I hope I can use an aftermarket battery, I'm waiting for ecotric to get back to me. Thanks again

I like to customize things and make them my own , but flipping the battery gives me the ability to put my cupholder that I designed on top and also I thought it looked a little silly trying to look like a gas tank on top when it’s really an electric bike so now I have room for my cell phone and a cuppa coffee and a GoPro here is the video on how to flip your tank and you can see my cupholder kzfaq.info/get/bejne/nKdddLiAnpnGgmw.html

I test drove the S1 in Wilmington a few weeks ago, I had it pegged at 25.8/26mph it was awesome. I ordered the apollo white S2. I'm thinking of tearing it down right away and getting a color change.

Fitst thing I Notice , is NO HELMETS .. Seen 2 E bike Accidents ( Serious Injury ) , here in NYC...In the last yr.. Plus ! A friend of Good Friend , just Died last yr in SF..And he was riding a Petty Cab .. Witch are pretty wide and Big... Dont matter if Your a good Driver or Not.... You dont Ride Anything , that goes more than 10 miles an hr... Or on Any , Major City Rd....Come on Dude !!!!

Really glad you liked it! The big seat is just the extended seat Super73 sells on their site but their are also different options from sellers on eBay if you want a different design

TheExcitant yeah for sure dude. I have absolutely no regrets about my purchase. The S1 is everything I could’ve asked for and the range on it is good for me, I’ve never drained the battery completely and I’ve road it across San Francisco and back with my girlfriend also on it. I think one of the only convenient things about the about on the new model is that you can track your bike. But I think that's an upgrade you can just do yourself like with the alarm 🖖🏼 like your upgrades bro

Like the review and all the extra accessories you’ve attached to the bike. When you purchased, did it come with the extended seat or did you purchase that separately and attached it later?

I bought mine at Costco which they have the bike and it comes with the extended seat included and you have to install it yourself. But the extended seat I have is the one Super73 sells on the site

Treh Cabreros yeah that should be completely fine. There are two bolt holes that are still usable with the extended seat. And you can use the old bolts from the original seat that was on it when you purchase the bike to secure something back there. That’s what I did with my box I put on the back. It will hang off the edge but I would not worry about that at all, you can use zip ties to secure it further

Hey dude, thanks for watching! So I did another video comparing this one and the Z1 model recently and in that video I mentioned that I’ve done 20 miles on the S1 and still had juice to go more. 20-25 miles should be fine on this bike to be honest. You should be fine but you can always take the charger to work if you have a place to plug it in.

That’s a good question but I’m not too sure. You can obviously take regular bikes but you can’t take electric skateboards or scooters. I’d say there is a good chance you can, if you find out for sure let me know!

The S1 does pretty well on hills in my opinion! I went up twin peaks with a passenger on the back no problem!! If hills are your worry you will be fine. But if you have extra money maybe just go for the S2

No it definitely would not. I have seen people mount another battery plate where my bag is to put an extra battery there though

Are you able to take off the brake levers and swap the left one to the right and right to the left? Since the left one is now back break I don’t want to accidentally use the front brake when I think I’m using the back.

Oh yeah I forgot to mention the seat in the video! But no it’s the extended seat from super 73 themselves. I was between the s1 and s2 but didn’t want to wait so ordered the s1 thinking I might regret not waiting, that was not the case at all! I’m so happy with the s1

It was just fine for me. We do that for miles at least once or twice a week to get out of the house and have no problems. I’m 5’7 and she is 5’4 for reference on how big we are 👍🏼

I used two zip ties, none of the stickers. I would recommend it as an extra deterrent. And a bit more piece of mind when you lock it up for a bit

For me, the performance was almost the exact same. The only difference was big hills may have been a little harder, but everything else was the same including the top speed

I mean according to their website the comfortable riding height for the S1 is up to 6'2 so maybe not. But the new S2 bike has a comfortable riding height up to 6'8 so maybe look into that one!

Thanks! The seat is the Super73 extended seat from their site but it’s sold out right now. You can find sellers on eBay selling custom seats that are long enough for two people. But yeah this one is good for two people as well

Yeah dude, my light has never drooped! My friend bought his a month after and it’s never drooped either. I obviously can’t guarantee every bike will come this way but it seems like there’s a good chance. And yeah they were shipped with the fixed headlight

Thanks for the vid, Brian. But I'm curious to know why you're not wearing a helmet. I understand the bike tops at under 30 mph, but I'm also in Cali and I thought it was the law to wear a helmet when riding a motor/power bike? I even see people in scooters wearing helmets. Thanks again.

Yeah it’s just personal preference. A helmet is a good idea but not legally required. It is only required for those under the age of 18. I do wear a helmet on my electric skateboard because I don’t feel as safe on it, and I think it might be legally required for that too. Hope this helps 👍🏼

I use the 5 foot lock. the 3 foot one won't go around the bike and something else like a pole.

I just got mine and I’m confused by the pedal assist. Coming from a lectric xp, this doesn’t have 5 modes of pedal assist and even on eco mode, the bike takes off fast to the point where you can’t even keep up with it by pedaling. Am I missing something?

Yes ive seen it, i was just wondering how you would lock it with the kryptonite chain cuz i got one but im too paranoid to leave it out cuz idk which lock method is most secure.

Oh I see what you mean. Always through the back wheel and the frame. They’re the most important parts. And then to a pool, bike rack, or whatever else is usable that won’t move

Not sure, you may be approaching the comfortable height limit. Super 73 advertises riders up to 6'2 for this bike. I'm 5'7 for reference. Hope this helps!
