Even though I play the oboe I have one of these at home. It's a soprano one, an unsellable one. It's one my grandfather received after he had to left the company

Thanks for all of your hard work on producing this excellent and extremely informative series. Please consider dedicating an episode on the history of the Selmer Bass saxophone. There isn't that much information on this instrument.

Douglas! amazing vid as always. Thank you so much. For the people at Selmer, thank you so much for this series, it has been enlightening and very fun to watch. Motivated me to get a BA tenor. I would love to see a history of Henri Selmer engraving, from the modele 22 to the newest one like the Supreme.

The super action 80s were the last selmer saxophones of the 20th century.

Many serial number charts show the Super Action 80 II starting at serial 378xxx. Thank you for the clarification.

I've found one of the 40 black laquered altos super action 80 but it's a bit expensive for me as a student

Such a good series of videos. Does anybody know was the neck/crook of the SA80 any different to the later serie 2 neck ?
