Man, that cannon transformation scene is just so weird... One second, he's in trouble, cannon scene (there's probably a fight after that), and everything get's back to normal. What's also weird is that the sky in that scene is purple and that there's nothing else in background, no matter of where he is/what he's doing.

Now that I think about it, the gameplay actually interrupts the story and its progress, because we can see in the animations what is supposed to happen. So maybe not seeing the gameplay isn't so bad...Or it can be to some.

Shit is not even that bad of a swear word really, there are many others that are much more, rude and vulgar. You should watch Sonic X subbed, Sonic actually says shit in english in that. The Japanese don't care about censoring and swearing as much as the US does, most other countries don't go to the US's extremes.
