Throwing more money at them doesn’t make them any better. If you have to rely on a super star to star to make it popular … it probably wasn’t a great idea in the first place. Take the pop star out of it… and some of these commercials just become meh. Replace them with unknown actors, if it still flies, you have a true creative winner.

It's true though. They got popular when they were just being creative and having fun. They got more popular and more expensive and it got to a point where it only became about money. Ik ads are about money anyways, but people used to have creative freedom, you can trace where (in tv,movies and commercials) it stopped with creative liberties and focused on a "formula"

I miss the great ones from the 1080's like the Budweiser horses and the clean wholesome but funny commercials of the old days of the Supper Bowl Game. A long with our Nation Athame song with pride.

hey man. theres editing softwares that make it pretty easy to edit music out so we can hear them talk but the copyrighted music isnt there. all in all great vid though!

I went to broadcasting school in 1969. The lecture that pointed out what a Super Bowl commercial cost back then had my head reeling. It was something akin to a quarter of a million for a minute. Nowadays that is chump change. That was also when the GDP hit a trillion dollars for the first time.
