Myself playing version 1.1 of one of the three new Super Castlevania IV hacks uploaded last month, "Remix". It features a new layout to Dracula's castle, a rebalance of Simon's subweapons, a change of the order of appearance of the soundtracks in the game (hence the hack name) and a modification of the type of enemies found in each level. Together with it comes the "Double Boss Health" patch, that reduces the damage caused by the whip (but not by the subweapons) by half and makes the game harder.
This is my second time going through this hack. I tried to play fair and didn't use savestates, dying sometimes, yet I managed to beat the game. I didn't use the "Double Boss Health" patch.
I found this hack interesting and fun to play, and I recommend it to castlevania players and platform games enthusiasts in general.

I can not lie, I've never seen this version of this game before, but by the looks of it, it is crazy, even the beginning was kind of challenging.

Room 4-3 was surprising. It felt like it did when I first played that level as a kid.

Some of the stages feel a bit spammy, even the first level is full of end game enemies.

Rom hack difficulty. Game has only just started and already progress is tiresomely slow with too many annoying enemies every step

at 3:40 There is a strange bug in the first ring that plays you quickly until the end of the map, I don't know if that was intentional, I don't know why there would be these rings for you to hang at the beginning of the game. If you hang on the first hoop and extend your whip to the bottom of the stage floor and you hurl right to the bottom of the screen ... that would be a glitch to be used by castlevania professionals or just a bug ???

Hmm. I guess that it's deliberate, intended for speedruns, but I'm not sure. I was not aware of this bug before your comment.

I liked to put rings in the beginning since it is a good place to toy with them without danger. Also the zip in the beginning is intended. I do feel like this is a entertaining mechanic "bug" that can be use to get into the Castle a bit quicker. The normal purpose of this mechanic is to not get you stuck in walls. There are many bug spread throughout the hack. Some I know already and they serve entertainment value in my opinion. Also thanks @Allerius Lorethiel for play-testing my hack. Glad you enjoined it.

@@Bogyway Well, thanks for watching me playing. :) I found most of this hack fresh and interesting, particularly the new layouts. Level A (the Clock Tower) is my favorite, and I think I'm even liking more this map design than the original.

@@Yaradkafin The Clock Tower toke the longest to make because of changing the Level progression. Probably half of the time spend on the hack. Still missed out to put the gears far enough apart so there is a lot of lag that could be avoided with this kind of layout. The same goes for the rotating room with the platforms. I wished I could had different enemies then the skeleton. I arranged the scene once with crumbling blocks and rings. It helped to reduce lag but without normal platform the level did not feel right for the project. And I had to get moving to get a release before end of October. Main goal with this project is to get people inspirit to create hacks them self and may be form a community for SC4 hackers. Would be cool to work on resources in a group and organize them so new people have a good time taping into level creation.

@@Bogyway I see. Well, I learned the basic stuff to make "Alter Quest", but I don't think I have the skills to participate of a community of true hackers like yourself at the moment. I can of course share my findings with you if you're interested, and test your hacks. :) Something that surely deserves a hack to fix IMO is the creatures disappearing when the players move the screen a bit. I would surely want to apply some solution to this in my own hack if I found out how.
