So much to love about this 1) the unusable wrenches 2) the long proprietary bit that doesn't lock in place 3) the *almost* looks like a bottle opener not bottle opener sheathing mechanism 4) It actually comes with a sheath... double protection?! 5) Even with the built in sheath the knife stays it's original length. I can't think of many knives with a mechanism that doesn't then make the knife smaller... It's a cool knife, no doubt, but I'm getting those "I wanted something specific so I made it myself" kind of vibes. Possibly my favorite types of tools, the ones that somebody or even just a few people really wanted but were mostly impractical. It is definitely gorgeous, I like that the blade is smooth without serrations. Overall it's kind of steam punkish.

First of all, i never even realized how steampunk it looks!!! Great observation! As for not changing length, i wouldn't mind it not changing length so long as it didn't remove so much material. A fixed blade will always be stronger than a folding blade knife. But in this case, they removed so much material that it is useless to have made it a fixed blade knife. Im actually planning on eventually remaking the knife portion. Mostly because i think it will be fun. But also because i want the knife to be functional!
