▶️ Super Dragons have a storied history in Clash of Clans. Initially overpowered, they’ve become quite balanced in recent times. But with a new Level at TH16 they are surprisingly good (as shown by them featuring in the Top 10 of Legend League last season). But due to Root Riders being overpowered, they’ve received a handy buff and Hooked today talks about whether this buff was needed or not.

Royal gem is 105 dps extra and plus add 18% haste from the haste vial, then double that during the ability. it increases that dps a ton, on top of a 2400hp heal. Shield is ok if you just are cleaning up at the end of a battle, but you will get more out of the RC with royal gem and haste vial. Test it out and see.

a lot of KZfaqRS r not recommending it for TH15, but hog puppet is trash should i go for haste vial at 15 ? i dont have fox though

The problem with royal gem when the RC is used by herself (like in this strategy) is the 2400 heal is useless because once the Fox dies the RC dies quickly after. I personally don’t think the Fox lives long enough in an air spam attack to make the health recovery worth it, I’d rather the instant damage of the shield. I’ve tried both combos with this strat (as you saw in the video) and personally found the shield better, but with how many people are saying shield is weak I could try again and see.

I do mass loons in case I blimp the TH but dragon rider with rocket loons can work for flame flinger too.

No shot healer puppets are better than frozen arrow. 90% of the timebiv ran the healer puppets I lose the healers to air bombs. Not ideal

If AQ enters the base yes frozen arrow is better but generally with air spam she’s on the outside and the healers plus the extra 1k HP is really nice.

rebuttal against using seeking shield with haste vial? the RC is only hasted for a limited amount of time so you dont want to waste precious seconds walking in between defenses

Haste increases DPS with also a passive buff to attack speed. Royal gem also gives a passive DPS buff, so they stack well together

Th16 is broken…there is no defense. All wars will end in ties and legends is packed with the worst players ever. Supercell wants the weak spammers to think that they are good. This is the beginning of the end of this game.

How is it useless?? Its phenomenal… it brings a TON of new strategy options to the game, which that on its own makes it an amazing addition to the game. Nvm the fact that it’s actually incredibly strong when you use it properly…( yes, you do need a brain to use it properly..) and for those of us that like to use our brains, its next level fun.

Honestly there’s not a huge difference between level 1 and maxed. You could bring 1 of them in CC and use one of your own.

Exactly. I’ve never used Super Dragons before, my Super Dragons aren’t max level, half of the attacks were terribly executed and still I was tripling consistently. Broken is correct.👍🏻
