I'm loving the sense of scale on this one! We usually just get to see the invasion in full swing, but this makes for a great scene of the fleet's first arrival!

Just imagine being on one of those planets. The enemy is attacking and you are in dire straits. Then you look up to see the sky darkened by hundreds of thousands of super destroyers. They briefly organize into groups, spread across the planet’s orbit then you watch as the hellpods fall and destroyers descend into low orbit. Just thinking about it moves me to tears 🫡

If they ever release in Xbox, they should make a global announcement with this animation but with tens of thousands of destroyers arriving, and, as the last one appears, the PA system says "Allied Armada has joined the war."

I’m not joking I was once listening to this on a run and imagined something exactly like this. The ships were “Commonwealth class”. It went something like this: The ships would enter and say “This is Ottawa. I have Canberra and Wellington with me and we’re assuming patrol patterns”. Followed by “This is Accra. Kigali and Singapore have just arrived alongside me and we’re moving to our designated routes.” Finally “USS Washington” joined up and we were good to go. Man, with the music, it was epic!!

If someone who has more skill than I do sees this comment please make this animation: A small team of soldiers are getting overrun by automatons. They're hiding in cover and as bullets wizz by their heads and explosions go off nearby they shout to eachother "We can't hold them! We need back up, send out the distress signal!". One soldier rushes over to a terminal and activates the distress signal. The terminal start beeping and a beacon is projected up to the sky. The volume of the background noise of the bullets and explosions is turned down for dramatic effect as the soldiers pause for a moment. Then, a sonic boom, and another, and as the soldiers look up one by one they see the super destroyers arrive in orbit. More and more booms are heard as more destroyers arrive. The music builds and builds until finally, as we see in the game, the first of many pods are launched as the music drops. More and more booms are heard as the soldiers look in the sky with relief that the helldivers came to their rescue. As the soldiers celebrate, a hulk appears and smashes their cover, and it almost kills them, it gets shot by an auto-cannon. As it turns the face the shooter, we see it is a helldivers with a smoking cannonon his shoulder, pods landing behind, and we pan out the many more divers on foot and in mechs running to help. If someone ends up making this, please do shoot me a reply so I can this piece of work.

The bots terrorizing a group of civilians when suddenly... "SLIP SPACE RUPTURE DETECTED"

I can imagine being one of the few SEAF teams that survived the invasion running behind cover and having my partners dismembered by those machines trying to extract whats left of their brains and knowing I'll be next if a miracle doesn't happen. Just barely making it into the radio tower and asking for immediate reinforcements from any part of the planet, expecting other SEAF planetary units to give their support just to hear the static and see that all the other stations are offline sealing your destiny. Then, when you lost all hope and almost went to shoot yourself hoping to damage your brain just enough so those filthy metal communists aren't able to use it, you hear a voice on the radio that says: "a distress signal has been responded by SEAF special operation team, Helldivers joining in to contain the threat" and all of a sudden you see the skies darkening as well as 4 super destroyers right above your head... For a SEAF ground unit that must be heaven... For democracy's enemies it is hell just about to rain on their heads.
