Rocky caught a little ditch pickle. I found out they call little bass 'ditch pickles' in Florida because it seems like you can catch them in every ditch. Cracked me up when I heard that. You know what? I dropped what I was planning to do when I saw you wanted to go fishing just like always. We all had a dad burn good time, too. Thanks so much to both of you!

Hey Richard, I checked the merchandise store and did not see any, "Go fishing when you can because it's gooooood for ya"! shirts. The ice is starting to slowly melt up here in the north country, and I feel like this shirt would be a wise investment when it comes to reminding my wife about the positive health benefits which come from fishing... I'm trying to be as healthy as I can this year, and I think this shirt would be a blessing towards such an endeavor. Thanks for showing this modification. I bought a bag of lizard from watching one of your videos a couple years back. Never caught anything on them. Then, I watched this and decided to give it another try (makes fishing fun to try new things, I love that about your channel). Caught a big one near the bank hiding in grass. So much fun.

My last time out I fished for hours without a bite. Tied on a black lizard with blue tail and caught three keepers. It saved the day. Also my favorite bed fishing bait.

I typically don’t use anything heavier than 10lb test when I bass fish, usually it’s 8lb. I also like to use a light action rod. It makes it a lot more fun…in my opinion.

Mr. Gene, Ya wanna have fun fishing? Break out your kayak get a 4 ft ultralight rod and reel. Load it up with 2 lb line and go bass fishing. Nothing like it. This past fall i caught a 4lb bass on this setup sitting in a 12 ft yak. I'm telling ya it will put your heart in your throat lol. Great vid bro. Oh and it took me about 5 mins. to land it and close to 100 yards from where i hung it at.

Just learning how to fish with plastics has increased my catch abilities substantially. My pb of 10lbs was on a hulla popper however. Lol. I do like the Texas rig.
