That was one of the best patterns I have seen. Extremely simple but a definite fish catcher.

Hey brother nice tutorials you have on jig tying. I live in oklahoma and it seems like the crappie in my honey hole won't bite bucktail. I've tossed many colors and I'm seeing the crappie on my scope but they won't hit the bucktail at all but the moment I tie on one of my hackle feather jigs I start catching big and plentiful crappie. Do you have an idea as to why they won't bite my bucktail jigs? I do use flash and the bucktail im using is the same amounts youre using
@ericmasseyjigco Жыл бұрын
That’s odd could there possibly be a bad Oder with your Bucktail like maybe it didn’t get tanned completely….. but crappie are different like that
@soonerlegendspodcast Жыл бұрын
@@ericmasseyjigco I think what I may do beings how I have a few poles rigged is when I catch a few on my goto jigs get my bucktail jig rigged pole and rub it all over the fish and try that. I never thought about the bucktail odor

Sometimes I’ll rub crappie slime on them or grind a minnow into the chenille
