Todays video is all about power slip bobbing! This is a fast paced aggressive style of slip bobber fishing that is keyed on speed and reading your electronics. In this video I talk about how we power slip bobber and how I like to rig up to catch a ton of these summer walleyes. Summer walleye fishing is generally pretty good everywhere and this technique definitely gets it done on many bodies of water. Thanks for watching all the walleye fishing videos!

Tom,thanks for your videos; I’m still learning how to catch walleye, and this old fisherman has sure been humbled. I live on a lake where here in Missouri where the lake has been stocked for several years because they can’t spawn at our lake. Many are getting pretty good size, a lot of shad in the lake. Will/should most of your techniques work here as well? Thanks, you have a new subscriber.

Great video, as always. I’m trying to figure out your slip bobber setup. Large 1/2oz. Wobble Bobber with bead on top and 3/8oz weight tied below, ahead of split ring? This gets the short shank jig and leech down to bottom & fish. Do you then reel up off the bottom and dangle in front of the walleyes?

Looks like you were fishing in 25 to 30 fow and the surface temp was just under 70F. Would you say that a thermocline hasn't formed yet, or maybe won't form on that lake? This is something I sort of struggle with is knowing the depth the fish can be in due to oxygem levels. Thanks for the videos and all the tips!

@JohnDoe-xq8sk
@JohnDoe-xq8sk 3 жыл бұрын
It's solely up to you bud. Where he fishes a 30" is actually fairly common but were in a blessed land. A big one is 32"-35+ but a 28" can easily be over 10lbs even with no eggs. Replica mounts are a good option to keep the big egg trains producing.

@Jordan Drier he didn’t even mention bobber stops. Makes me believe he is not using them. More interested in the vertical presentation from the big slip bobber he uses, kinda like ice fishing. Can lift it a foot or two once u notice line stopped being taken. On his graphs, the fish are just off bottom or a foot or 2. His buddy nails them when he says to put their lines in/ he’s the one closest to the transducer

Use a big musky bobber. All bobbers are equal once weighted properly. Musky bobber with heavy weights work anytime for any size fish. Casts farther. Stays where you put and is JUST as sensative as any pan fish bobber when neutral bouyant. Think about it. It's not rocket surgery.
