The Super Hellcat and Super Corsair in War Thunder are basically a perfect hand in hand combo for one another.
The Super Hellcat is a US Tank Destroyer that sits at 6.3 BR in the US tech tree. It's gone through some nerfs in recent years and vehicles have been added to the game at the same BR or lower that completely overshadow it.
Overall, it's pretty slow now since the radial engine and gearbox got changed. It really struggles to take on hilly terrain and its tracks are pretty thin so it slides around a lot on slope surfaces. To be honest, it's just a really weak armoured 90mm gun carrier with the speed of a heavy tank. Seriously, a T29 will overtake you!
The F2G Super Corsair on the other hand is one of the most powerful propeller planes in the game. It's fast on a straight line at low altitude, turns well and can hold a couple of VERY large bombs. It's almost like it was made to do some light ground pounding and then go overwatch the skies for pesky BF109's!

Fun fact, the landing gear for the super Corsair is also its airbrakes, if you look in the cockpit while flying its actually mentions that you can deploy at 600kph when in a dive

Back in the day the hellcat was a tank to be feared. It just hasn't been brought up to the meta. The maneuverability changes hurt this thing through to the core.

I sat on the super Corsair coupon for a long time hoping to sell it but it was worth so little I just decided to use it for myself and I’m so glad I did. It’s such a good plane for ground RB. Two 1000lbsers routinely get me 2-3 kills then I can dogfight very capably

I like taking out rockets with the super corsair. You can overpressure open tops, and kill with direct hits. Gotten king tigers with HVAR. But whats really fun is taking out tiny Tim's and using them on light tanks like bmp and german lick panzer 41s.

Hey guys, if your internet permits, you gotta try playing the video on the next resolution above whatever your display is running at. I'm not sure if there are any hardware or software specifics here, but I'm noticing that the downscaled 4k has a lot less visual artifacting than the 1440p option.

I edit the audio because it sounds really weak right now. That's the reason my video is more bass driven than other videos. Sometimes it crackles when it peeks. It's a fair trade instead of having really boring audio.

You should try out the HVARs again in Ground RB. Due to the overpressure mechanic they are really good now against lower armored vehicles :D

Nice video as usual. You mentioned the Walker Bulldog and it’s apds shell. I am spading the Bulldog right now and find the apds a huge disappointment. Combined with the fact that the Bulldog lacks other kinds of shells common at this BR, and it is not a good vehicle either,

One day, you’re going to be playing a 6.7 uptier in your Bulldog in Big Sinai. All of a sudden you’ll be ammo racking Tiger II’s through the mantlet at 1000m and landing 1600m one taps against Jagdpanther’s and you’ll fall in love. Also, the Scouting is huge for your team.

@@OddBawZ thanks for the reply. I stopped carrying apds shells in the Bulldog when I shot a Panther 4 times and while I wounded crewmembers, I'm pretty sure I didn't kill anybody. It was like sticking needles into the Panther -- I could penetrate the armor, but wasn't doiny any damage. My guess is there is no spalling, despite what the animation shows you. Keep up the good work.

@@seaninflorida9741 If it's a side shot, it's VERY risky to shoot for ammo. 40mm is not giving a lot of shrapnel. My advice is to take the tanks ability to shoot by taking the breach out. Then pick it apart from there. Front on, a Panther is dead in one shot from the bulldog. Enough shrapnel for the entire crew.

I have a question for anyone to answer. I noticed that everytime I drive down a hill, it seems like it has a boat anchor attached to it? It seems to go slower down a hill then it does going up the same hill. Anyone else notice that or understand by its like that? Odd its great to see you back and good to know your doing well. I picked up the Super Corsair for some SL grinding but haven't tried it out yet... I prefer playing aircraft in GBs though as AB seem to be not so fun...

Love your streams you freaking Nutter-Scotsman. Me and my friends have been playing WT for 5-6 years(maybe longer) on PS4. Dude; i think i'm fairly descent on War Thunder; but I don't think Console and PC get the same game quality. I use my dual shock controller still; refuse to use Mouse and keyboard sitting on my couch playing on my 70" TV. So there is that; and no auto pull out/max loop buttons etc. Plus I can watch you guys dive on a vehicle and i cannot get the same pen. And Armor is pretty bad; especially if you don't have really high internet speed on console(which don't happen on PS network). Any advice for us?

It will be a combination of how the suspension is modelled and the gearing most likely. As a broad rule of thumb those factors tend to in game nerf tanks with good IRL mobility and buff tanks with weak IRL mobility. Tahat and they don;t model off road roughness or stabilisers amazingly well either.
