I can feel his happiness because I remember when I 1st squatted over 500bs at age 49(5 months before my 50th) in March of 2020 before the lockdown at 212 lbs and how happy and freaked out I felt or the 1st time I ever benched 455 lbs at 32 years old.. you feel on top of the world with pride because you know how hard you've worked for this. I'm both proud of Larry and this young man for being so inspiring. Happy new year and best for years to come to Larry with his new health path and for this young guy!

I partially agree with Lexx Little in the sense that it takes a lot of discipline to follow a bodybuilding program, but the likelyhood of injury is much lower for example. With bodybuilding you push your muscles to failure, but with powerlifting you push your body to it's limits, quite literally.

Loved what they talked about near the end with powerlifting vs bodybuilding. When I'm doing a powerlifting bulk from say October to April or May depending how clean or sloppy I've been yeah I get stronger but my clothes don't fit so good anymore, I hate how I look in some areas, I feel bloated most days, sleep isn't great etc like Lex said. But once I start cutting and doing less heavy weight and more reps and volume through the summer everything about my quality of life just feels a million times better. That's just hobbyist level, I can't speak on amatuer or pro levels

powerlinfting in the begining of my workouts and then bodybuilding for the rest of the work out. I like to do both. just doing one or the other it does not feel right. I like to do both during my work outs. i enjoy lifting heavy low rep workouts in the begining and drop set accessory work for the remainder. only one body part a day at around 24-28 sets in total not including my warmups. thats what I need to get my sweat on. i only weigh 200lbs and watching larry wheels as I have for years now gets me amped up big time!

I think both powerlifting and bodybuilding at a super high level are about equal, and it just comes down to what you enjoy more. At a recreational level, powerlifting is absolutely harder imo. Going into a 12 hr restaurant shift after lifting the same heavy ass weight is ridiculously hard. That’s why I love it tho!
