On the telephone someone asked me "Is that a baby crying?" because my Ms. Siamese would put up a storm of whining when I was on the telephone. I miss her.

Seriously. They're Siamese. This is what they DO. This is the noise they make about ANYTHING that's not going exactly the way they expect. Doesn't matter if they're the most pampered cats in the entire world. If they want something, they want it two minutes ago, and they'll make sure you know it. When mine isn't satisfied with the quality of my personal attention, he runs off to my bedroom and yowls to bring down the house. Is he starving? Absolutely not. Neglected? Please. His every whim is granted. I'm just not fast enough for him. He's a big ol' drama llama. These cats are happy and very well-fed. Please relax.

My Siamese cat is fat, he has been through a lot. He was sick as a kitten. I’m happy that I still have him.

I used to live near a used bookstore, they had a very popular Siamese who lived in it (they even sold shirts with him on it and the local grade school had a fan club, lol), his name was Ah-so. I loved it wheneved I'd come in to browse and buy books; the moment he'd see me, he let out this cheerful little *chirp* before jumping straight up in front of me (not on me) because he trusted me to gently catch him in mid-air, so cute! And as I'd carry him while looking at the books he would always reposition himself to sit on my shoulders and stay there while I was shopping, and all the while through the whole store everyone could hear this loud PURRRRRRRR, lol. ;) Siamese are so sweet.

We love the talking! That's what makes the Siamese so great... Impossible to ignore these kitties - they are too noisy!

It's good to know I'm not alone. I get this beautiful sound every morning at 5 am from my Siamese Zedicus.

I never knew a lot of the specific breed traits of Siamese cats. I love mine! I was a single dad for years and my son's have both moved away. I was lonely & didn't know what to do with myself, as I've been divorced since 1997. I found my cat when he was barely weaned and had gotten separated & lost from his litter! He was starving, scared,dirty, and one eye stuck shut, beside the road about to be ran over! I just couldn't leave him after he was very friendly and so easily crawled into my lap. That was 2014 and he's been my only friend.

My cat had a siamese father and tortoiseshell mother. She's got the personality and attitude of a tortie, but the insane meowing and intense affection of a siamese. She really is a handful.

Wow....he sounds EXACTLY like our 20 year old Applehead. God that cat is noisy until he gets fed or when he gets poked by us or probed by another cat. Siamese are not only noisy and vocal (and they talk back), but they just keeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep at it until they get what they want...why I love them so much.

I had a siamese cat years ago when I was growing up. They have very loud and distinctive voices, much more so than other cats. I can always tell a siamese by their voice.

We had three Siamese, two were male Seal Points, the other a rare female Lynx Point......they were very chatty and in-yer-face cats.....they were very affectionate, one used to ride along on my sons shoulders ! Now we have a (rescued) male blue-point Tonkinese who out-chats his cousins and is even more affectionate, loving to first whisker your face then deposit his facial scent by rubbing his cheeks on both of yours....all the while purring like a runaway motor and staring as close as he can get with his bright blue eyes right up to your eyes, the head-butting you.....then he'll kneed you with his combined front toes, working your skin and muscle groups into large surface bruises....he'll wake you at all hours and sneak-snake himself under the covers to "den" under one of your arm pits, purring until he goes off to sleep.....mornings are spent "in-yer-face" chatting endlessly for his breakfast, one of his many daily meals that must be delivered immediately.....! As pesty as our "Talky-Tonk" is, we dearly love him and all his quirky Siamese-type characteristics...!

My cat is not Siamese but loud like this the same way. She wasn't before but hears a friends cat on the phone in the background and learned to get her way meowing the same lol. Its annoying at night when she wants to play but otherwise it keeps me on my toes. They're all adorable furry companions.

Siamese are VERY talkative. No gentle purr and soft chirps for these guys!! My Zen would hang by the kitchen, and say, "Nowww? Nowww?" She kept us all in stitches, and died at 19, still yowing..

Just got a Siamese kitten he’s 4 months now and boy is he something else. 🤦🏾‍♀️🤦🏾‍♀️🤦🏾‍♀️I got him so my Bonnie can have a friend but he’s so hyperactive and gets into everything. Everything I’ve read about them is true. But he’s also very close and attached. When we get home from work he’s running to the door to greet me or my husband. I noticed when i was watching Mulan he was watching it too. I love him so much I’ve accepted all his mischievous Tasmania personality. He’s really sweet and hilarious. Does anyone else experience this with there Siamese?

wow when your cats started meowing loudly my cat completely freaked out! He jumped in my lap, up on my desk, then back on the floor twice, and when I showed him your cats he started hissing at them! He was convinced there was another cat in the room and he didn't like it lol

My two Siamese (Esmeralda and Phoebus) were like that. They (especially Esmeralda, she was the ringleader) complained during every meal that we were taking forever to feed them. I miss their meowing.

Siamese Cat Lucy and the Thanksgiving turkey... From the moment that the turkey started thawing, Siamese Cat Lucy loudly announced that she wanted that bird. The entire time it was in the oven, she yowled for her share of turkey. That made for a long day trying to distract and amuse a loud and determined Siamese Cat who was obsessed by that bird. Meanwhile, Calico TC was her usual stoic and self-controlled self. She was a Zen Master among cats, but she wanted her share of turkey when it was time to eat. Canned cat food was off the menu as long as there was leftover turkey in the house. I miss those two stepsisters.

Love Siamese. My Chelsea a Lilac died in December, she would have Been 20years in February. The Siamese (Amy) I had before Chelsea was 21years when she passed. Chelsea was that loud whenever the toaster pops. If I couldn't find her around the house, I would pop the toaster.

All true Siamese are talkers !!! Given enough Siamese in their line... they will communicate verbally ! They are extremely loyal & affectionate to those in the family !!! They also are very curious & intelligent cats. I have a British Long-hair that is white at this time... but my favorite cat was a Himalayan / Manx mix & she was the best cat we ever had !!! She looked like a Himalayan but had 6 toes on her front feet & an extremely shot tail ! She lived until she was 18 yrs. old ! She only weighted 6 pounds... but was a huge personality in our home & very much loved !!!

I have 2 all black cats and they arent siamese cats..but they are just as loud as this!! One of my cats likes to play with the springy door stop in my moms room and sticks his paw underneath the door for it at 4am LOL. He also likes to open up and close the cabinets!

My moms tonk had that same caw caw sound. He used to go down the hall towards the garage because it echoed, and he'd just scream and scream and scream until he was satisfied. And then he'd come sit on you and purr. He just loved the sound of his own voice. They're very Husky like sometimes.
