This time, ChargerLAB got a 140W GaN 6-in-1 desktop charger from LDNIO and it's only $40.99. Different from other chargers, it is equipped with a power cord, three replaceable AC plugs, and a display.

There is no interference filter or suppression on the input, which is not good. Other than that, perfectly safe. 8/10

What does the lack of input filtering mean? A 50/60 Hz voltage ripples on the output?

That can only mean risk if I have unstable AC source, correct? Given a good stable AC source, this charger is A-okay?

@@sutton0028no, it will also leak its own interference to the AC source (the interference is produced because it's a switch mode power supply). Ironically, that EMI is going to affect nearby devices that don't have interference filtering implemented as well.

It is a BAD charger. Firstly, the charger do not have power factor correction. Secondly, there is high leakage current from the primary side, its so bad that you get a mini electric shock whenever you touch the metallic USB cable.

Doesn't look half bad. Also interesting that you mentioned that the USB Controller chips support current limiting... However the obvious and most important question was again not answered: Does it make use of the power limiting feature to dynamically distribute the power budget over the USB-C ports or is the implementation (as usual) of the software in the MCU dumb as frog and simply resets all ports to do a renegotiation whenever a device is plugged in?

can you check out the xiaomi 100w usb pd car charger , i will probably get one to charge my hp laptop which supports 20v 5amp usb c pd in my car. so i need to know if it can charge at 100w for atleast 1hr because the battery is 80whr. such small charger might overheat if not designed right and then reduce output power.
