…and yes. That is my AB collection of product, minus the lip balm…because it’s in my work bag and another in my car lol
At A whopping 375.00USD for 1oz YIKES. This Serum has some pretty high expectations to live up to! Now, Thats an expensive serum!
The Serum has a whole list of beneficial ingredients such as:
-Pomegranate seed concentrate: supports skin self renewal, balance stressed and reactive skin, reduces visible signs of aging.
-Edelweiss Extract: Rare plant from Alpine ranges that help to lift, smooth, and tighten sagging skin. also helps protect from oxidative stress, pollution, and UV radiation.
-Vitamin C: Stimulate collagen, brighten the skin, and packed with antioxidants to scavenge free radicals.
-Polysaccharide Moisture Complex: Helps achieve optimal moisture levels. Rehydrates from within while actively preventing water loss.
-Squalane: Plant derived humectant that attracts and retains moisture.
-Sodium Hyaluronate: Attract and retain Moisture, as well as helps to stimulate cellular cohesion. Rehydrates on a deeper level to smooth out fine lines and wrinkles.
-Resveratrol: Polyphenol produced by some plants, more commonly found in red wine....helps to defend against injury. Its powerful antioxidant properties help to defend against external aggressors.
-Rice Bran Oil: Packed with antioxidant rich Ferulic Acid. Helps to suppress the formation of fine lines and wrinkles, brown spots, and other signs of premature aging.
This serum has a whole lot going for it, but the cost is THE biggest drawback for me.
While I do like the serum, I just don't think the cost is justifiable (for me).
I did feel like it lived up to the claims of maintaining moisture. My skin did feel like it has a little more bounce to it, and there was a nice glow.....but lets be real, you all know I do so much to my skin....I can get hydration and glow for way less lol.

Thank you -for spending all that money- for reviewing this product for us Christopher! I've always wondered about this brand so you've helped assuage my curiosity! The most I've ever spent on skincare was on Skinceuticals CE Ferulic, which I could not afford so I splurged, too. I'm glad I did because that stuff is worth it. A week in (I swear it was the first NIGHT I used it, but I'll assume for argument's sake there was some placebo effect happening!) I could see the texture in my skin had truly decreased and my skin looked very, _very_ healthy. The "glow" was absolutely obvious to me as well as family and co-workers. Anyways, the price point on this AB serum is as much as my vehicle maintenance each month so I'd want to see a LOT of magic happening! Thanks again Christopher! 💯🦋

Thank you for sharing that experience! I liked using the CE Ferulic too, but it’s just too expensive and I really don’t use VitC anymore. I really do get everything I need from just using the AB cream😍 If you haven’t tried the cream, I highly recommend trying it. They have smaller sizes that you can try before investing in the larger bottles 😊💛

I got a 7ml free sample of the cream when I got an online haul. I wasn’t expecting much from it and only chose it because of the price. But I was WOW. And nowI have to eat plain pasta for weeks to buy it. 😭

Lol I got I love the us comment! 😅 I’ve heard of many ppl getting some samples, and my friend even got a 15ml rich cream from them on birthday. Not gonna lie, I’m a little jealous lol. I’ve spent so much money with them In the last 2 years, I’m a black level memeber (highest tier), and they’ve never sent me anything for free…even after all the videos I make of their products 😅…I’m only little salty about it 😛

Thanks for this review! Love your channel. I caved and bought the serum too. I find using the essence daily is too much for me, so I only use it once a week and also tretinoin at night. Quick question- if you use the essence, do you put it on before or after the serum?

Thank you! 🙏🏻 let me know what you think of the Serum after using it for a few weeks or so. Yes, I agree…the essence was too much for me on a daily basis also. Initially when I first started it, it was fine…but after a few weeks I noticed my skin being way more sensitive. Since I cut back to using it 1-2 times a week, that sensitivity is gone. If using the essence w it the serum, you would use the essence first, filled my the serum, then your other products. 💛

Thank you so much for reviewing this product Christopher! I might just stick with the creams because I can't justify the price tag of the serum either. I have seen in your previous videos you said you used tretinoin and you also use the cream. As the cream also has vitamin A, do you alternate between the two on different nights? I used tret and the cream on the same night and my skin was extremely dry after :\ Do you also recommend any other of the AB products specifically for hyperpigmentation? I am currently using the essence, the cleansing cream, and I alternate between the rich cream and the cream.

Thank you for this wonderful comment and questions! 🙏🏻😊 Yes, I use Tretinoin every night. The cream does contain a small amount out Retinyl Palmitate (Vitamin A), but I didn’t experience irritation while using ‘The Cream’. I use ‘The Cream’ on rare occasions when I need something light or during super humid days. My preference is ‘The Rich Cream’ and that what I mostly use morning and night. The essence, for me, I liked…but I found that I can’t use it daily. MOST leave on exfoliant’s make my skin sensitive/sensitized…so I can only use them sparingly, about once a week. I find I don’t really need to exfoliate with my use of Tretinoin and AB products. If I need exfoliation, I prefer an enzyme rinse off type of product. If you find your skin becoming sensitive, I would cut out the essence and only use 1-2 times a week. I actually wish they made toner/essence WITHOUT and exfoliant 😕 I would say that the TFC8 should help with hyperpigmentation, but at the end of the day, certain peels may be better. Things containing Kojic Acid and glutathione can help decrease the amount of tyrosine in your skin, which is responsible for pigmentation. This will help prevent discoloration and hyperpigmentation. You are so on point! I was given it as a birthday and then Christmas present but the price is so over the top. I wished they used less expensive packaging to lower the cost. It is just not worth the high cost. I use the rich cream, toner and smoothing cream . The serum and brow products are far too expensive.

I still love my rich cream. I also enjoy the lip balm. I repurchase the face wash a few times a year too. The oil I like, but not for that price tag. 💛🙏🏻☺️

@@Vanidiy I feel he priced must of his customers out of the ability to purchase the serums. It is a shame since he claims the funds go to help his research. This is a product only the wealthy can afford to purchase on a regular basis. I think the packaging is wasteful and over the top.

I agree about the wasteful packaging. There’s definitely more expensive serums out there…but this just didn’t deliver. Auteur is another line I love, but they’re more expensive than AB. Products I love from Auteur are the Definitive enzyme cleanser and lifting toner. I’ve tried a sample pack of the composition number 1…but I can’t use it on a regular basis since it has retinol in it, and I prefer my tretinoin. Also…the serum is almost 1200.00 😳🤯😂

@@Vanidiy they should sell the serums in just the blue glass inner pump tube. Lower the price by 100.00 . Win win . Less packaging and lower costs. The packaging can be reused by customer if they want the metal tube and holder. The packaging now is so wasteful. Just sell the refillable without the metal outer layer.

I tried the eye cream, it gave me some type of reaction around one of my eyes, so I stopped using it. I have the ultimate soothing cream, but I prefer the rich cream or my La Mer créme over the ultimate soothing cream. Still doesn’t hurt to try it though ;) 💛😊🙏🏻

This video is so helpful.What would you say gives a more dramatic difference in terms of skin renewal- not necessarily hydration- the rich cream or the serum? From my understanding layering these products is nice but not necessary. Do you find that to be true or do you think using the whole line give greater benefits?

You’re absolutely right. There’s no need to layer the products to get results. Personally, I’ve seen the best results by only using the rich cream. I do also use the oil, the cream cleansing gel, the lip balm. Those are my favorites. The serum didn’t add anything amazing, especially for the price. The best results I received were from the Rich cream and nothing else. 🙏🏻💛😊

I would choose 1 of the creams. In my opinion, the serum is so damn expensive, doesn’t last long, and I didn’t receive much benefit compared to cost. That’s just my opinion and how it performed for me. The creams are amazing and you should see benefits. The serum is nice, so if you really want to splurge…it’s worth it to try…because you’ll never know unless you do haha ;) 🙏🏻💛😊 Happy Thanksgiving 🦃🍽 🍁

Definitely esthetically pleasing packaging, but still bulky and wasteful. Yes, that definitely plays a role on pricing…which I’d rather have less extravagant packaging and a lower price point on the product 😊

Month and half is 6 weeks❗️12 weeks is 3 months and it's fine to spend to your face 4 times a year in my opinion 💚I don't see that a big deal🧿💙

1 bottle would not last 3 months. 1 bottle would last about MAYBE about 1 1/2 months. That mean 8.5 bottles per year, at 350.00 is just under $3,000.00 for a serum. That may not be a big deal to you, but I have better things to spend 3k on that will deliver MUCH better results.

They really need to make an essence without exfoliation. That would be the ideal vehicle for TFC8! I love the serum even more than the creams but I can’t justify the price point :/
