Just beat World 8 for the first time thanks to this. Been playing it since I was a kid but could never beat the final few levels of world 8. Still have my original console and game! 🙂

I've been playing through the NES Mario games with my niece and nephew as a rapt audience. I always impress on them the importance, or at least the value, of defeating Bowser with fireballs. 'It is the Way'.

When I was a kid and we got this my mom let me stay up passed midnight because she was playing as luigi, we kept winning and she couldn't wait til the next day when I got home to play. (this was like 3rd grade). Have such a big spot in my heart for this game.

You can make some speed swimming for change a bit in the level 8-2 with the boats, I always pass under them, after with the automatic scrolling you'll dont gonna make a faster clunk.

As a kid in the 90's I found the warp whistle in the first fort myself! I thought to cheese the level by flying above and what do you know :P Then later I see it revealed in THE WIZARD!!..
