​@Pinkielover you have no idea how.much you're missing. A word about Super Mario Wonder... People have no idea how great Super Mario Wonder is from a design standpoint. The badges are the greatest idea ever! At first I thought it could be cool and then before I bought the game possibly gimmicky or a way to cheat the game to make levels easier and after playing through this game myself it finally clicked and I totally understand it. The badges are not power ups but customization options to suit you how you want to play through the game and I FREAKING LOVE IT! Meaning they're OPTIONS not power ups that always are there even if you're small... for example using the hat or spinning jump badge means even if u get hit by and enemy and go small you can still use that cap to glide or spin even when falling to ur death for a last gasp effort to survive. Usually in SMB3 or SMWorld you'd lose ur racoon suit and now ur small and can't do anything losing not only the racoons abilities and once you get hit again you die. This Wonder game does it so much much better. And again you can only use one so it's not like a cheat or anything it's just a feature you can use to conveniently use a lot when u get hit and go small so the badge system is GENIUS! Also allows you to replay the game again how you'd like and different people of different skill sets can adapt their gameplay as needed as they progress. You have to PLAY this game to understand this though and appreciate this mechanic. It's basically playing Super Mario Bros. the way its meant to be played. And I only spoke about one aspect of this game. The level design, the replay value, the characters, the presentation and music from past Mario games as you progress... its just an awesome experience. 👍 People who haven't got this game due to its price I'm telling you... u have no idea how much fun this game is. If you're on the fence GET IT! You'll be glad you did.

I knew at that point this game isn't for me. I threw fireballs at the plants doing a stupid song and then after a while took the game out after my eyes started to hurt from all the obnoxiously bright colors

Tropical Freeze is just outstanding with balancing platforming, breakable platforms, mini games, scrolling leveles, jump pacing in the hard levels, music, the themes that evolve through the levels, quite hard secrets, multiple secret levels that are not easy, really challenging bonus levels and on top of that amazing analogy with Vikings when the islands get invaded so that Norse animals can make ice cream lol. It’s just so clever and fun in all regards. I have played games over 33 years And this is platforming masterpiece.

I have a 4K TV and have played modern realistic games, and somehow Super Mario Bros. Wonder looks more crisp and vibrant than almost every other high end game. It's really masterful art direction.

It's cause he's a powerup in SM World not one of the main Mario characters. Also he's already an animal dinosaur makes no sense to transform him into an elephant. Also gives youngsters non skilled players who play this game a way to get to the end of the game without having too many game over screens. Especially at the harder levels.

All the timer ever did was be annoying. It never made a level more challenging, it just ruined the fun of exploring. As long as you're strolling along at a walking pace you'll beat the timer. Standing around or exploring is only ever a choice and the timer took away your ability to do that.

Removing the timer was a good idea. It was always useless. All it did was discourage exploration, and stress people out. If today's games are too easy, it's because gamers that like to be challenged are not loud enough. Nintendo will always give what the majority wants.

@@RedPill780 you are right in some way. You can’t say that the timer restricted exploration because you just have to be better and handle more in a given time. Also score and time accumulated thus showing if you improve and play better and more efficiently. Human nature is lazy, if there is no opposition, people won’t try harder. Before , games were harder and nobody complained. Now anything can be a problem because of todays times and any spoiled kid can become a KZfaqr and make mad marketing. Easy games is what ruins the industry. I am not necessarily just speaking about the timer, but difficulty and it’s scaling needs to be carefully designed and removing a difficulty will become an autopilot experience thus making a game that requires less and less thinking and adapting from the player- that’s the worst that can happen in gaming.

@@kagemara277 There is no right or wrong here. Everyone has their preferences. Most people in the comments are happy about not having a timer. You're different, and that's okay. Timers are good when they're optional to get a reward. GoldenEye did this, and I never had a problem with it. I actually support the timer in that game. It boosts replay value, and provides a challenge to unlock something new. There is a good way and bad way to use a timer. If it's there just to make me hurry up, that's a bad way to use it. I will never be okay with a game dictating how much time I'm allowed to spend in any area before I move on. It's not fun, and it doesn't serve a good purpose. Mario games don't provide good reasons to be fast. They are best when they let me play them at my own pace, and the only way to do that is to ditch the useless timer. There is no reason to hurry unless you're into speedruns.

I hated Baulders Gate 3, and won’t play horror games, and I did enjoy TOTK but all three of those examples have loads of people that didn’t enjoy them, or didn’t play them. I’m not saying they weren’t great, but I don’t think any of them hold a candle to Wonder, or SM2
