As interesting as this is it kind of misrepresents what the purple gel was going to be in Portal it didn't change the gravity it just let you walk on walls that may sound like the same thing but let me explain the way it's designed here you'd be able to walk on a wall jump off of it and then fall back to that wall cuz the gravity is now set to push you towards that wall but the way it was in Portal 2 before it was canceled was you can walk up the wall and jump and then you fall back down to the ground it didn't straight up change gravity it just gave you the ability to walk up a surface that has the gel and if you walk off of the gel part of the surface you fall back down so basically it wasn't some sort of magical gravity altering device it was basically just a liquid that was so sticky that you couldn't stick yourself to the ceiling using it
