This is the SNES Super Mario Kart Rainbow Road - fully remastered & restored in high definition!!! Excellent job!! Nintendo - learn from what Sega did with Sonic Mania & hire this man!! Real talk, this is impressive! This took me back the 90's when I finally mastered this level in the hardest racing run - 150cc cup. I love how difficult this level was especially in 150cc. It was really rewarding once you aced it because not only did you officially become a pro - you played this game like a boss!!! The other Mario Kart games are great - but nothing compares to the original. This remaster definitely hits the nostalgia hardccore!

Here after seeing the Super Mario Movie. I love how this played when they hit the Rainbow Road. That hit the nostalgia deep. I wish Nintendo was like Sega, where they hire fans to compose music, just like they did with Tee Lopes. You should definitely be a composer for the Mario series. This is top notch. This is awesome, it brings back some memories.

Thing with the original is that it's really like a TR 909, or a heavily modified version of the 909. The instruments were then down-sampled for SNES audio engine. Which gives the original a chiptune quality. *Quote*: _The S-SMP audio chip consists of an 8-bit CPU, a 16-bit DSP, and 64 KB of SRAM. It was designed and produced by Sony and is completely independent from the rest of the system. It is clocked at a nominal 24.576 MHz in both NTSC and PAL systems. It is capable of stereo sound, composed from 8 voices generated using 8 bit audio samples and various effects such as echo"._ It also allows for reverb, expression controls, decay, and sustain. In any case the sound of the original has very disco vibe, the way Michael Jackson music sounds like. So one would by all means need to emulate an 80s vibe to get a modern remix out for a remake of the game. I suppose emphasizing the bass is a big part to bring out the sonic qualities of the tune. If I was Nintendo probably emphasize a very analog slapping bass, a bright xylophone slightly panned and widened, the synth would have to be with some degree of glide to feel like there is a slight shift of a detuning up to the tuning which would give this unsettling feeling that ultimately satisfied once the synth reaches the aimed frequency. Altogether you did an amazing job on this remix. I hope more people do them. And that Nintendo does a sort of an analog remix with realistic instruments like a try to describe above. :)
