Am pretty confident that this will be one of Mario's best games ever.

I almost shed a tear. This game's environments are so beautiful. Imagine what a parent who grew up with retro Nintendo would feel about this

What a good year to be a Nintendo fan

Nintendo has always redefined what it means to be a platformer every decade or so. It's that time again.

I first got this game Christmas Day 2017. I beat the main story mode in 4 days with about 165 moons. About a week later, I got to dark side and beat the Robo Broodal. A month later I got to Darker Side of the moon and spent about 2 weeks trying to beat it (I was only 11 years old at the time). After beating it, I took a break for the game, though I’m not really sure why. I came back at the beginning of quarantine in 2020 and was immediately reminded of how much fun I had back when I first got the game. For the next month and a half, I went from the 503 power moons that I had after first beating darker side, to getting all 880 collectible story moons, got 999 power moons, found and spent all purple coins in every kingdom to get all stickers and models for the Odyssey, got all costumes, and fully 100% beat the game. I had never felt so accomplished. During December 2020, I even went back to do the infinite jump rope glitch to get 99,999 jumps in the metro kingdom jump rope minigame. This is one of my favorite mainline Mario games, and still holds a special place in my heart. It was the most hype I’ve ever had for a video game.

This is going to be the best Mario game of all time. Even my nostalgia can't hold 64 and Sunshine over Odyssey.

I've played plenty of Mario games after Mario 64. This is the first one that feels like a true successor to that masterpiece.

Mario in the snow kingdom is slowly dying, while Cappy is like “meh, i don’t even care.”

I LOVE that two of Nintendo's biggest franchises, Zelda and Mario, have gone into a more open-world direction. These two games alone would be worth buying the Switch for me (you know, once I can afford it..), and that's not even mentioning all the other interesting upcoming titles. I'm so happy to see Nintendo doing it does best again!

4:39 is nobody gonna question how Mario is gonna throw that as a hat

Over 600 moons in this game, possibly even more. Not only that, but there's mini-games, tens of hundreds of characters to learn about and capture, all the costumes, all the hidden paths, and they even embraced Grand Dad. First Breath of the Wild, and now this? This is the Year of Nintendo, alright.

The fact you can buy stuff in this game like stickers for the Odyssey makes this feel so real.

I was kinda worried that they were gonna show us too much, and there wouldn't be anything new to look forward to, but this was great! I'm so happy there is so much to do and that there is new surprises that we didn't know before, I think this could be Game of The Year Edit: Just finished this game last weekend and I was amazed and astounded! The ending was completely unexpected and I didn’t know what was going to happen next! 10/10 game!

I’m so glad and grateful to God I got 2 copies of the game , one for me and my brother also a neon Nintendo Switch , the odyssey bundle for my sister , all 3 amiibo , the MARIO odyssey exclusive case , and the odyssey themed joycon grip !! 2017 was such an amazing year !! I will never forget it !!
