I had taken down the tree and sorted everything to wrap and box up. I was called away to help take care of my grandmother and did not put the dogs out side. I came home to a complete disaster. They had completely chewed everything up, including the boxes they were to be stored in. Keep in mind the dogs had never bothered the tree before. There was glass and silver streaming everywhere. It took many days to clear the mess.

We had a 12ft very full Cyprus Christmas tree one year that we left up for a month because it was so pretty and when we went to take it down, it fell over and every single needle fell off onto our wall to wall carpet! We spent months having to pick out each needle by hand because the vacuum cleaner brush tangled them in deeper into the carpet!

One time on Christmas eve while we were cooking the Turkey for dinner the next day we put it on the table in the garage and it collapsed to the floor all over. Had to quick go to the store for a fresh Turkey to cook.

My Grandma’s Xmas tree had some old school lights that bubbled! For those that know those are some 1950’s Xmas lights. Any ways they shorted out when I was 15 and thanks to me being a stud and not feeling pain I grabbed the tree while it was on fire and threw it out the front door. Thank God it wasn’t all dried out otherwise it would have burned a lot quicker & probably taken the whole house down with it!

I remember when I was very young, about 3 or 4 years old. My mom and dad got the Christmas and dad made a stand for it. No water , just a woden X base stand. They put it up on the 18th of December. By the 24th all the needles were falling off. It looked like it had cought fire. . Had a new tree stand that held water the next year.

This is a crazy game with those black lights.

Worst disaster was following off a cinder block I was using to reach the lights we were putting on the outside edge of the. Front porch. Overbalanced backwards and broke my wrist. My sister was helping and ahe thought I hit my head and I finally got her attention so I could explain it was my arm not my head. It was so comical it was funny and my dad just stood and laughed. He said in the car on the way to the emergency room " You realize that cinder block was on its side not on its end, how did you fall off the big side?" And just continued to chuckle.

loved the wall falling ours was when we were young we had a real tree dad put it in a bucket that was wrapped in xmas paper ..... he watered it everyday but didnt notice a hole in the bucket they had to get a new carpet after xmas

that was a great fall! Love the rewind. I don't really have a fail story. But when I was married to my ex husband, we didn't have much. We found an artificial tree and ornaments in the apartment building storage room and were given permission to use it.. Only problem, no stand. We got the doughnut tire out of the car and wired that tree to it. Covered that stand with a red blanket and voila. Sometimes you do what you gotta do and the kids, then 2 and 3, didn't mind.

My tree fell over one year & broke a bunch of glass ornaments all over the floor.

A few years ago I made the Christmas meal myself and everything was going to schedule, until I went to remove the turkey from the oven with oven mitts that had a hole in them - I burnt my hand really bad and the turkey landed on the floor of the kitchen. We wound up ordering take-out and had a great time anyway !

That was awesome! I loved seeing the wall cone back up. My dad brought home a tree from our farm. I decorated it before my mom came home. She came in and hated it and had us take it down and go buy a tree. I loved my Charley Brown tree.

Well I got them and one was a big truck that had 2 horses and they fit inside the back of the truck. It was a cattle truck to haul animals in. Well my little brother at that time thought it was to ride on and he did . I told him not to but didn’t do any good. Well after awhile the wheels fell off and couldn’t fix them .

Last year I put up Christmas lights around my house and then we had a frost and then half the lights froze then it made the lights looked funny so when I had to throw the whole box of lights away and they were brand new. I hate it when that happens. I was so mad at the time.

One year when putting the box of decorations back in the loft, I was passing it up to my step dad who was in the loft, and a box of baubles escaped and fell down the stairs. Only one bauble survived. Guess what I had to buy next year?! The reverse footage at the end was epic!!! That was the biggest coin wall I have ever seen!

my christmas disaster is when i first got a cat and he knocked down the tree and broke every ornament i had

Mine was my wife had spent most of the afternoon putting our tree up lights ornaments and tinsel it was beautiful. We went to go pick our kids from their grandparents house when we got back my cats had knocked tree over there was water everywhere. We cleaned up and started over again. It took most of the night but we got back to what it looked like.

I haven't had any mishaps... I am very careful taking care of my Christmas stuff...

Never really had that type of mishap but I made minced meat for a pie and used all the suet and we had enough for 6 pies so instead of making 1 mincemeat pie I made 6

The closest thing I came to a Christmas decoration disaster was back when I was young, our neighbor would go outside every Christmas Eve and shoot his shotgun into the air. The pellets from the shotgun will rain down on our house breaking some of the tiles on the roof.

One Thanksgiving I had all the food on the table and was just about to sit down and the table broke down and the food fell on the floor

Our “mishap” involves having a real Christmas Tree. I knew we needed to to keep it watered but didn’t realize I needed a sheet or something under the the tree at the end of season and when we decided to remove the tree after Christmas it shed pine needles from one end of the house to another. I promise I think I broke my vacuum cleaner sucking those needles up that day and for weeks after Christmas was over. The next year I put a sheet around the bottom but also left the tree up until July that year.

Good morning my friends, wow that a huge wall I can see the trolls behind it trying to push it over.awesome fall ,what a rush . One Christmas I remember I was helping to picking up the wrapping paper and boxes as my other brothers and sisters opened their gifts. Well I had gotten 2 model cars and 2 model planes that I loved putting together. My one little brother was trying to help pick up too, so not paying attention to him I gathered the garbage bags of trash and took out to burn barrel and burned them. When all was good and they were all burnt I went back in and was going to start a model car build . Well I looked and looked for the models and couldn’t find them, I looked under the tree , under other gifts , anywhere I could think nothing to be found. After awhile my dad said did you throw them in trash , I said no I didn’t throw in trash . Just to be sure I got dressed went out to burn barrel with a stick and started poking at burnt paper and box’s ashes then all of a sudden I hit something big , pushed stick in it and pulled it up . There was all 4 models melted together in a goob , then I figured out what happened my little brother had throwing them away by mistake. So I threw back and went back in house and my dad asked what I found and I said nothing but he knew the look on my face when I told him that I was fibbing to him , but he didn’t say anything about it. A few days later when I got back in the house from my chores there on the table were the same 4 models.....

our biggest disaster was that our real Christmas tree died 2 days before Christmas. I came home from work and all the needles were on the floor. that was the last year with a real Christmas tree!

His stuff Turkey Toy. SOOO TIGGER RUNS GRAGS THE TURKEY LEG AND PROCEEDS TO PULL THE WHOLE THING OFF, OF THE TABLE ! RUNS OUT THE BACK DOOR WITH A BIG TURKEY LEG WE ALL WERE LAUGHING SO HARD CHASING HIM, WE DID MANAGE TO SALVAGE THE TURKEY MINUS A LEG 😜😂🤣😂 at least IT LANDED STILL IN THE ROASTING PAN 😍 NO HARM , NO FOWL ? 😜

Lot I only have one bad Christmas my youngest twin were 8 wanted to help make cookies three days before I got a kitten it climbed into the tree and layers down we tried to get it out and forgot the cookies in the oven and burned the batch still have to get the kitten he broke 16 ornaments that afternoon and I think we scared it half to death cause Christmas morning it got even it was back in the tree laying down and every time we went to take a gift it would slap our hands my daughter got the kitten a stocking so we opened it he came out of the tree took a mouse toy and took it back to the tree and laid down on the gifts.
