Yo! This hack's still being worked on, and I've in fact began working on rotating Crocomire. He moves vertically now, but the graphics are just broken for now.

Hey man, good to see you here. Do you think you'll make some changes to the things you removed/added that the runners commented about in the run? For example removing gates and adding platforms where not exactly necessary.

Crocomire's hitbox is mostly solid, so it's possible to just stand on his belly and shoot down into his mouth (or walljump off him in vanilla). I'll have to figure something out for the acid though.

Why did they remove the Ridley fight at the beginning? Also it would've been interesting to save the animals, just to see the room and the changes in the cutscene if there are any.

It's quite common for romhacks to remove Ceres station due to it being the same as the standard game. You can technically 'hack' Ceres station but it's very easy to break the game doing so and there's not much you can do with it, so they choose to remove it.

The reason Ceres isn't in this is because I haven't done that area yet. You might think it'd be an easy thing to do, but Ceres uses mode7 rooms (the elevator shaft and Ridley''s room), which are really difficult to edit at all. Plus Ceres as an area is pretty broken anyway. I do plan to make Ceres eventually too, but it'll still take a while.

If you hit them directly in the center they do no damage. This works the same in the standard game as well.

It'd take forever. Instead of walljumping up to certain doors you would have to bomb jump, which in itself could add at least a minute to some rooms. You'd have to clear out every enemy in the room to make sure they don't hit you while bomb jump, walljump up and shoot the door, and then bomb jump all the way back up. It'd probably double the length of the run and cause for some softlocks in areas.

Well then you're going to make the romhack inherently less fun and therefore no one would run it. It's a trade off. Not a true 1:1 rotation, but it's actually bearable to play this way.
