The most difficult challenge in Super Monkey Ball Deluxe to date! This is the first all bananas speedrun for this game. In this run I collect every unique banana on every normal stage at least once before completing the level and moving on to the next. Because this is the first run of its kind, I improvised strategies on the go for a majority of these stages, and had to innovate some new ones ahead of time for the immensely difficult levels, like Launchers and Clock Face. Let me know if you would like to see more runs like this in the future!
FAQ
Why do you sometimes collect some bananas, fall off, and then collect the rest of the bananas without recollecting the ones you already got? Aren't you supposed to get them all in one go?
There are a number of stages in this run where collecting all bananas in one go is either completely impossible (such as Coaster, Swing Bridges, etc.), or excruciatingly difficult (such as Choice, Tracks, etc.). Because of this, getting them all in one go is not required, and stages can be broken up into multiple trips. This does however make life conservation much more important!
Why do you not collect the bananas on bonus stages? Isn't the whole point of bonus stages to collect bananas? Why not include these?
Like before, there are a number of bonus stages in this run where collecting all bananas in one go is either completely impossible (such as Parabaloid, Fighters, etc.), or excruciatingly difficult (such as Rampage, Pachinko, etc.). Because bonus stages only allow you one try before you are auto advanced to the next stage, getting bananas on these stages is not required. They do however provide the opportunity for additional lives if needed!
Why do you pause randomly on some stages? Isn't that slower?
Pausing usually serves either one of two purposes. One use is to hit a specific frame on the clock, so that I can guaruntee I get a specific setup on a stage to work, and therefore save time. The other use is to slow the game down in order to make more precise adjustments to avoid failing a trick or falling off (this is used much more commonly in this run for safety purposes, not as much in normal runs).

I've never actually beat level 76: warp. It's so freaking hard to control. On challenge mode, I always get the green exit on level 75 and just skip it

If I ever become a good TAS-er someday, I will do my own challenge in SMBDX, kinda inspired by Nicobbq & Nathaniel Bandy (in terms of avoiding coins), or ParashockX & CreepyProduce (in terms of avoiding a condition so the video doesn't end too soon, and btw yes, I know that CP is a terrible person, i'm only taking inspiration from his vids where if I touch something the videos ends, that's it), in which what exactly is this challenge i'm thinking of? The answer is a video either titled "if I touch/collect a banana, the video ends - Super Monkey Ball Deluxe", or "Beating Ultimate Mode in Super Monkey Ball Deluxe without touching/collecting a single banana". However, in my ideal challenge, there are exceptions of bananas that I won't avoid. I will only purposely touch a banana if I am in a Bonus Stage. That's right, in order to make up for the Bonus-skips done in this All-Bananas speedrun (which is ironic), I will do Bonus Stages in my "No bananas" playthrough without skipping them so that it's a fairly even way to fix the irony. I will use save-states in bonus-stages though, as SMBDX only gives me 1 try to those banana-hunts. These save-states aren't exactly cheats though, as my planned playthrough isn't supposed to be a speedrun. I know that completing bonus-stages in a 0-bananas challenge would completely defeat the purpose of avoiding to touch a single banana, but so does D irony's other way around. I mean come on, Bonus Stages in Super Monkey Ball are so criminally underrated and Bonus Stages need more love, they literally really do! Same thing applies with bonus-stages in Classic Modes of Super Smash Bros... 🥺 By the way, if you are reading this right now (Jcool114), I want you to know that I am NOT in anyway (nor form) mad at you for skipping bonus-stages (even if I severely disagree with that decision), this video is still pretty impressive since bonus stages aside, collecting all those bananas is a pretty incredible achievement. I have certain personal issues that causes my grammar to look so unclean, so please, PLEASE forgive my horrendous grammar. I'm still practicing to improve on how to organize my grammar more properly. For readers of this comment who don't own the video where I posted this comment at, the only reason I took some time to add details about the Bonus Stages is because I wanted to clear-up that despite being a future playthrough where I dodge as many bananas as I possibly can, I confirm that bonus-stages will be one-eighteen exceptions of which bananas to avoid collecting, since ya know, I literally want to make up for how poorly all those Bonus Stages were treated and/or shafted in this video. Therefore, as a fan of Super Monkey Ball Deluxe, I don't hate this video at all, I think it's a decent recording despite the ironc bonus-skips, I just don't agree with that ironic decision, so that's why I wanna make some justifiable exchanges. *sigh* once again, now I am DOUBLE SORRY for my comment being this ridiculously long, as I dislike repeating myself too much. The 17 dislike(r)s were (from) people who felt unsatisfied because Bonus stages were skipped here for seemingly no good reason at all. (You know, because skipping Bonus stages in an all-bananas speedrun is completely inexcusable, as it turns that title into clickbait).

I used to be very mad & pissed about the bonus-skips too/as-well, until I read the description of this video. I still don't really think that was a satisfying excuse for ceasing to AT LEAST TRYING to do bonus-stages, since they still count as part of the game's bananas, normal-stage or not. But at least I feel way less mad about it now than I was before. Dunno about U, tho...
