+airthrow Thanks man! Yeah, the Super Neo 29 Candy is a real beauty, and just feels great to play on, especially with the new Seimitsu sticks! It's a tough call for me as to which cab is my preferred machine. I got the Neo 29 first, over 4 years ago, then the Super Neo 29 Candy several months later, love them equally really, and if I also had a MVS U4, I know I'd love it equally as well, as it's also a beautiful cabinet. Nothing beats an SNK candy cab, both of mine are equipped with top of the line Hitachi tubes and top of the line Nanao chassis on both as well. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment man!

+CRTcade Nice, my chassis could use a little bit of work, MVSU4's came with Toei chassis with Hitachi tubes, it was a brilliant picture when I first got it, I need to figure out if I messed up a cap or something.

Yeah, in an ideal world, I agree that would definitely help some, but I don’t think most people have the time to do all that realistically. I’m not disagreeing with you at all, but at the same time, I will say I have Saturn and ps1 era sticks that came stock with LS-56, and LS-32 levers, and they are over 20 years old, never been disassembled and cleaned/lubricated, and work perfectly.

@@CRTcade I have 20 cabinets and it only takes about 2 hours in a year to do the maintanaince. They are durable parts and most people are not even aware of how/why they should be re-greased. They are made to take punishment 12 hours a day for years, so in home use makntanaince isn't always necessary but done once a year or every few years will keep it working smoother and longer.0

@@epicon6 Yeah, I've got 3 candy cabs, and many different sticks for home consoles and jamma super gun control boxes as well, all with Seimitsu parts, and they are very durable, especially given that I rarely get to use them much, so for me it's not really something I tend to do, but to each his own, and I can't fault you at all for taking the time and being diligent with your equipment, nothing wrong with that at all.

I’m honestly not sure, these LS-40’s I installed on this cab were bought stock and unmodified in any way back in 2016. On my other candy cab one of the sticks on it is an LS-40 as well and that cab was purchased in 2011 and I haven’t changed anything out on it, and that stick feels just like this one, so I’m not aware of any changes that have been possibly made recently to stock LS-40 sticks straight from the factory, if there are changes, and when those may have come into play. Sorry I couldn’t be of more assistance with your question, but let me know if you find out!

@@CRTcade Oh, man, I made a mistake there, it wasn't the actuator that changed, it was the gate that changed a little bit and they added the omron micros, and they explained that they tried to make it as close as possible to the old ls40 - 01 feeling. I bought an LS40 - 01 and was concerned about which version would arrive for me, but the seller confirmed that it is the old LS40 - 01 that I will have. Thank you!

Ah, ok, yeah, thanks for that info. I wasn’t aware of those changes, but yeah, I love the old School LS-40-01, it’s such a versatile lever, and I feel it really works great for shmups, beat ‘em ups, VS fighting games, platformers, etc., so that’s good that you got one of the original models! The LS-32 and the 40 are definitely my favorite sticks, and I think I’ll always prefer them over Sanwa, hayabusa, or anything else. Seimitsu has always been where it’s at for me.

@Stefano Pavone I see you comment in every youtube video that has the word Seimitsu mentioned. So I figured you would be the person to ask since you have said you have great experience with seimitsu brand arcade sticks. I am interested in trying a Seimitsu LS-40 lever because I have heard that they are the best for fighting games? is that true? In your opinion what would be the easiest way to install a Seimitsu lever in a arcade stick case? There are not any pre-built arcade sticks that are sold commercially with Seimitsu levers in them correct? I currently have a Razer Pantera Evo arcade stick with a Sanwa-JLF and added a 2lb spring which is actually really good and I am relatively pleased with its performance. However I heard that LS-40's are even better for playing 2d fighters especially NEO GEO titles. What's the easiest, most hassle free way I could go about installing a Seimitsu lever in a arcade stick? and the LS-40 not the LS-32 0r LS-56 is the best for fighters...yes? I wont be using it for any shooters or platformers. Only for fighters. Looking for something a hair more faster and responsive then the JLF but not overkill. Which it sounds like some Seimitsu lever's would just be too much for fighting games, sensitivity and response wise.

My Razer Pantera EVo is not fitted to be compatible with Seimitsu sticks, only Sanwa JLF. So I am wondering what my options are? any way without spending a ton of money?

Hey, I don't have this cab out of storage at the moment, sorry for my late reply, and I'm probably guessing you already got the answer from someone else at this point, I'd be happy to measure it for you when I get a chance though!

+RaulBillieJean Thanks man! For the semi-stripped screws that were holding the LS-40 joystick's s-plate mount the the cabinet's mount, I was able to very cautiously use some needle nose pliers, and that worked pretty easily, but for the 2nd LS-40's LB-35 red ball top, that thing was super stripped to the actual joystick lever, which was a pain, because the only way to remove a joystick and it's base from a cabinet cp is to have the ball top removed, because even once you have the mounting plates unscrewed, you won't be able to pull the stick apparatus out of the CP with the ball top on, so with the ball top still on and the stick still screwed to the cp mount, I had remove the insides, which was tough, but managed to get the e clip and spring off; the spring shot out like a freaking rocket, almost hit me, so guard your face if you ever need to do this, haha, Then I was able to unscrew the insides of the stick and pull out the shaft and ball top and use pliers to ferociously grip and remove the stripped ball top. At that point I didn't need it removed so much since I already had the thing disassembled and out of the cab's cp, but just wanted to see if it could be done. The ball top was really, really badly stripped, and the inner workings of that stick were a filthy, sticking, chewed up mess inside before I even got it out, so I don't think I'll be reusing that one! +chinitosoccer1 Hey man, sorry for the late reply, just now saw your message. I've always loved LS-40 sticks, I've had them on this cab since the day I got it 4 years ago, but I had been meaning to just upgrade them to brand new ones, my old ones were sticking so badly and shaven down a bit, so instead of cleaning just went with brand new LS-40's, and I love the pink color of these new ones! Yeah, that's a tough decision for me between LS-32 and LS-40's for shooters, I like them both, my two favorite sticks, but might even like the LS-40 a bit more, but it's a close call. Yeah, I agree about the JLW being super nice as well, so much better than JLF. I also actually really like the old Sanwa JLW sticks for shooters as well. I have several of the old US Capcom Fighter power sticks and the Japanese Capcom Power Stick Fighters which, as for the Japanese versions, pretty cool as they actually came with Sanwa JLW sticks, and they are so nice to play on. +Tomb76ski This is a question I sincerely wish I could answer. The truth is, they are becoming a bit scarce, and you just don't see many of them fore sale, and people who were importing them in bulk back in the day are no longer doing so. I'd say your best bet is to heck out arcade enthusiast forums, and hope to fin someone local or someone willing to palette ship, which is a bitch to do, so many times today, people aren't really up for shipping them. I need about like 7 more candy cabs, but haven't gotten one since 2012, and not sure I'll ever get another, sadly.

Yeah, that is what I am staring to gather by investigating. I think I may just get a regular cabinet and look into just motherboards like the Sammy Atomiswave. Small library but I have been playing Dolphin Blue in Mame (5TB hard drive) and think I need to play this on a stick and not a 360 controller. I may need to stick with emulation but I can always dream haha

Most people would say that for the SNK made fighting games, such as KOF, Art of fighting, Samurai Spirits, etc., yes that the Seimitsu LS-40 is superior to any Sanwa stick, this is really due to some various things such as mid range jumping and just how the characters and games play in general. Most people will say that for Capcom games however, such as street fighter, that sanwa sticks are best. For me personally I'm a SHMUP enthusiast and I play many shoot 'em ups on a professional, 1CC level, and in my opinion, for SHMUPS, the Seimitsu LS-32 is the king, and will always be the king.
