i loved this game. it just when you go to the bottom of the purple ocean in the underworld level when you have to rescue luigi, yea that one, the music at the bottom of the purple ocean has unsettling music.

The easiest way to tell if you do is by looking for a Dolby logo on your disc. If it is there, you have a patched disc.

Man, i really like your glitch videos, and having a 22 minute glitch video about my favorite videogame is like a gift!

I've found that a better way to get points (that doesn't involve enemies constantly dropping items). Do the same trick mentioned in the video in chapter 8-3. Use dashell in 2-D and go past the three skellebombers and have them throw their skellobits in 2-D, then flip into 3-D and run down the hall avoiding the enemies and hitting the third and last block in the room that contains a slow flower. Flip back into 2-D at the end of the hall to collect the flower after it passes all the enemies. Now DON'T increase the size of the shell. You won't like the results as much if you do... Instead, miss on purpose and follow the shell with dashell. If the enemies don't die, then get some catch cards of them to do more damge. I've seen many people do the other method, but this one dishes out over 100,000 each time, while the other one only goes up to 80,000, because, well... Slow flowers give triple points. I also recommend this one because, like I said, there are less item drops that you need to dodge.

When the wii crashes the power button does work, you just have to hold it for like 5-10 seconds.

There’s actually another glitch which is a bit more of an issue: In 2-2, there’s a bunch of room you need to search through to find a key. If you enter the key room but don’t get the key and then try to talk to Mimi (the Minecraft-looking maid), the game will fully freeze on her third or fourth text-box. You can avoid this by simply finding the key the first time.

Thanks for showing the thudley glitch, not to brag but I tried in in 7-4 and it took me like 25 minutes but the amount of concentration it took... oh gosh, probably still would have been faster to actually do it

I've done the Thudley jump so many times I am fairly consistent at it now. You know how you glitched out the camera angle in some of those glitches? You can do it in many, many other areas using the Thudley Infinite Jump. Though it has to be in a room without a ceiling. Basically you infinite jump until you can go over the invisible wall that would normally stop you from going further left while in 3D. Then flip back and viola, weird camera angle. There's also ground behind the doors atop Flipside Tower you can stand on. You can't see it but you can stand on it. Also, the top of Flipside Tower is in the same room as Merlon's house, so you can actually infinite jump from the town area onto the tower. Be careful though since sometimes you will trigger the fall into the third floor.

4:20 I don't think that's a glitch, they probably put that there so people don't get trapped if they somehow get in.

I was just messing around with my game trying the infinite jump and I actually did it and I was running around screaming because I thought I had a patched version! (Not Nintendo selects, just a newer version.) imma try some other glitches again xD

8:05 happened to me once while playing normally. you're right I tried everything, and nothing short of pulling the (very difficult to reach) plug to shut down.

I am a little late in commenting but in the patched version of SPM you can still do the glitch in 2-2 you used to be able to do in 1-2. Heres how: Climb the roof of the mansion. You need to stand on the right hand side. Switch to 3D mode. (You will be floating above ground, jump on the roof quickly) Walk forward until you are stopped by an invisible wall. Switch back to 2D. Take a small step to the right until you stand on the very edge. Switch back to 3D. You are now behind the invisible wall. Press forward to fall down and left to respawn behind the invisible wall on the back (2D perspective) While doing this glitch you will get the same weird camera angles you saw in 1-2. I discovered this glitch myself.

I had a game crashing glitch with peach. I found it by accident but it was consistent. I just spoke to mimi on her left side with peach then it crashed. It just made a horrible ongoing sound.

Would't the infinijump glitch allow you to complete many parts of the game without luigi?

Wow! Those glitches are hilarious and ridiculous!

To clear up any confusion, if you want to play on the game version with the glitches, although the Disc art does give it away, the second version/first revision uses the same glossy game art as the original. BUT there's still a very cheeky way to finding it, and it applies to any Wii game! Turn the Disc over to the shiny optical side. Look at the disc ring VERY carefully for text that says RVL-R8PE-0A-# The # represents what revision the game of that disc was made So, RVL-R8PE-0A-0 would be the version you'd want to look for, since it's the original version with the glitches. Hope this helps! :)

Another REALLY hard glitch not mentioned in this video is the life shroom jump that allows you to "skip" Thoreau. With 1 HP, and in 3D, jump over the second gap after Yold Town right as you are about to get hurt. Get hurt in midair to use the life shroom in midair, and flip on the frame you regain control of Mario. This allows you to clear the gap without Thoreau. Once you hit the star block, the game notifies you that he joined your party, and you still get him, but save a few minutes.

HOORAY!!!! Today I finally got the old (unpatched) version!!! Used to watch this video all the time, but, I couldn't do any of the cooler glitches. I got the unpatched version for Christmas, and just barely realized it was the old version!!!! Hooray!!!!!

After seeing the disc comparison I actually looked through my game shelf to find my disc. Turns out I got the one with the glitches by pure accident. Maybe I’ll try them out sometime :D

Lol. It's interesting how many ways there are to gain lots of xp in super paper mario. My personal preference is chapter 5-4. I would just tape down the down button as bowser, and then go eat something. I would come back to find myself at the level up screen each time.

There are currently three different revisions of Super Paper Mario; 1.0 1.1 1.2 They can all be downloaded and played from Vimm’s Lair via USB Loader GX on the Homebrew Channel on a modded Wii.

In chapter 7-1, if you go into 3D, and go behind the pipe at the edge of the screen, then go to 2d, it’s a soft lock because you can only use 3D when on the ground, and you can’t return to flipside unless you are on the ground. You can’t touch the ground because there is an enemy you can’t defeat that is blocking the ground, and it’s a 1x1 area, so the enemy is the only thing you can step on.

I was able to do the 0 HP glitch with Carry as well. I tried to jump on him to use s to avoid an attack but I ended up getting hit by it and reduced to 0 HP. It was in the pit of 100 trials and I managed to get back to the save block without taking any more damage.

I found a soft lock in the spring room on the patched version. If you press A when you touch the Spring it will soft lock. This needs Mario and persise timing (or luck with mashing A.)

I just realized if I want to I could use the world 1-2 glitch (for the layout) and make a real paper copy and then fold the buildings upward to have a real life copy.

i think i know how the glitch at around 4:10 works, i think the reason who it lets you out is because they thought that if the player found a way in they should be able to get out of their and made it kinda like a one way door

see i like the way you used the infinite jump because its mostly just used to do the rainbow bridge skip which you need to do like 15 jumps in a row AND move to the right but yeah trying to find small shortcuts that we all can use aswell as potential out of bounds stuff is fun (btw to anyone reading this you know those huge walls at the end of most of the stages? dont try and infinite jump on top of them THERES AN INVISIBLE WALL)

The beeping probably stopped because at 0 hp it is so high oitched or it was never planned for you to be alive then.

If you do the merlon house glitch, enter any other area, exit that area and go to the small road to the outskirts of flipside in 3D, and flip back to 2D right as you walk onto that road, the game crashes. If you flip back to 2D in the middle of the road, you Keep falling of the map until you die.
