No they have infinite detection range. They need line of sight or they won't attack(their attack is what causes flight) . So if the map is in the way of the unit they'll slowly float toward it or fall into the void.

Super Boxer costs 5000 I think and Dark Peasant 9999999 and than Super Peasant costs same as Dark version its just an effect that the number goes crazy when you place Super or Dark version of the peasant on on of the sides how you could find this out is by hovering your cursor on the units like Super and Dark Peasant, its just a tip for the fans not too be crazy in the comments. Actually you can, flying units have a certain height above solid ground but super peasant can fly towards any unit that it has line of sight. But there is a point that just kills him and, if you die you can't fly back up.

The super peasants flying comes from his attacks with lunge him toward the enemy, otherwise he floats slowly, so the only way for him to fly is a target that has nothing in front of it (map parts)

Either that or the pharaoh caused him to freeze off the map.
