Good find , left antler would make a good knife handle for a right handed person. ( the ground off tine leaves a bulge that fills the hollow of the palm )

Hey cool idea. Maybe I will look into that sometime. Have you made antler knife handles? I would like to learn how.

@@outhear yes I make knives when I get a chance an old made in USA , Sweden or Germany file will work and you don’t have to heat treat it . The tang of the file ( the part that the handle slips over ) is not hardened an can be drilled. You can grind the notches with a grinder pretty well . Make a hand guard from metal and carefully drill out and small file out a rectangular hole that fits the tang which will be shaped to drive the guard on . Then drill out the antler towards the crown . Take note where the tang will be and mark the antler for a future 1/8 hole to be drilled. After you fit the handle mix a 2 part epoxy like Loc tite and glue it on next day drill a 1/8 hole thru handle and tank , glue a piece of 1/8 welding rod or brass rod thru . Next day file the rod flush and there you have it . Don’t use Mexico or a China files steel no good

Never understood why folks stand round bales up on end.. Rot then becomes in every part of the bale, all the way to the center, by wicking moisture, instead of moisture being in just one spot on the most outside part of the bale, that can then be easily discarded.🤠

Hey there Monica you have a good point. We usually do not stack bales on end. However during the winter as you can see the water is frozen and we stack the bales this way to block wind and stop snow. Then we try to use the bales before the spring melt or unstack them. You are very right that this is a good way to ruin bales if done wrong.
